After my weird encounter with Derek on campus, I continued reading and then went to eat dinner in the dining hall. Now I'm back in my room studying when there's a knock on my door. I walk over and open the door confused since I wasn't expecting anyone.

"Oh it's you."

"Who else would it be? Hi by the way."

"Hi Cris." I say letting her in. She walks over and sits down on my bed.

"How you holding up?" she asks.

"I'm alright, just studying. And you? How's Owen?" I sit down next to her.

"Owen's fine."

"Just fine?" I ask.

"Nah I don't really wanna talk about it."

"How come?"

"I think he's in love with me."

"You think?"

"No, I know he is, he told me last night."

"Oh! Did you say it back?"

"Of course not!"

I chuckle.

"Mer, it's not funny, you know I'm not the 'love' type of girl."

"I know you're not. You just don't realize how lucky you are.."

She rolls her eyes before realizing what I'd just said. "Wait a minute!"

"Oh I wasn't-"

"Yes you were, spill!"

"I didn't mean anything!" I argue back.

"Cut the crap Meredith Grey, I know when you're lying."

"I'm not lying!"

"Who is it?"

"No one!"

"Uh-huh.."

"No one!"

"You realize I'm not leaving until you tell me who it is right?"

I sigh in defeat. "It's just a stupid boy, nothing exciting."

"What! Of course it's exciting! This is exactly what we need!"

"We?"

"Yes! Who cares if this boy is stupid, I mean they all are!"

I shrug.

"This is our chance to get you out of the celibacy you've been living in for 18 years."

"Bit too late for that.." I mumble.

"What?!!"

"Oh uhm.."

"Meredith Elizabeth-"

"Stop, you sound like my mother."

"Have you actually lost your V-card??"

"Shhh! These walls are thin!"

"Sorry Ma'am." She rolls her eyes before continuing.

"How, what, when, where?!"

I give her a look that says I don't want to talk about it.

"Why didn't you tell me Mer?"

I shrug. "It wasn't that long ago and it wasn't anything special to tell.."

"It doesn't matter! Next time something like this happens, you contact me right away! Ok?"

I chuckle softly. "I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a while until next time."

"Why?"

"He just wants to be friends."

"You could be sexy friends."

"It's a bit more complicated than that Cris."

"Why? Who is he even??"

"That's the most complicated part."

"Mer stop speaking in code words, you're almost scaring me.."

"I can't tell you much. He's just unavailable."

She raises a brow. "I can help you change that.."

"No Chris stop-"

"Just tell me his goddamn name!"

"I really can't."

"Just his first name then! I didn't even realize you knew any guys, I couldn't possibly look him up without a last name."

I sigh unsure if I wanna tell her or not.

"Come on Mer please, you know you can trust me!"

"Fine. His name is Derek."

"Wait you slept with Derek?!"

"You know him??!" I ask panicked.

"Of course I know Derek! Everyone knows Derek!"

"What?!"

Cristina can't keep her straight face anymore and begins to snicker.

"Oh ok yeah, very funny Cris.."

"Sorry I had to, it's just so much fun to see you shit your pants. "

I roll my eyes. "Fuck you."

"Nah I'm good, but you really should fuck this Derek dude again though. Whoever he is."

"Would if I could, but like I said, he's unavailable."

"Oh well.." Cristina stands up from the bed and heads towards the door.

"But if either of you change your mind and you need tricks on seducing him.." she walks out all the way and pops her head through in the doorway. "..you know where to find me."

I chuckle. "I will. Night Cris."

"Night Merbear."

I gasp and throw a pillow towards the door , motioning for her head but she closes right on time and the pillow hits the door instead.
