Enna was probably one of the stupidest characters in the first book.

From time-to-time, she remained calm, stoic, and serious about their quest... at least, that's how I planned to write her. But she also had other characteristics; one of them being her annoyance towards Alyssa, which wasn't really hinted at in the first book, to be honest.

The main reason for her acting so annoyed? Well, compared to Zalina and Alyssa, she had the worst backstory. Enna experienced her mom's death when she was at such a young age that she had to be moved to live at an orphanage, where she was bullied for the remaining years. Finally, she gets called to the castle as a "lost princess", and she was the first one, in fact. Save for Queen Angelica, from that short time alone Enna didn't have a lot of people to talk to, until Zalina came.
Thing is, Enna was jealous of Alyssa and how she got it so easy compared to her and Zalina. What fueled her anger even more was the fact that Queen Angelica was her mother and was residing over the palace they stayed at. The mere presence of Alyssa just infuriated her.

However, that was not showed in the book. I believe I only focused WAYY TOO MUCH on the plot that I completely forgot to build up my characters properly, which honestly are supposed to make the plot all the more interesting.

HONESTLYY, Enna had so much potential, being one of the main characters. Younger me wasted that potential ;-;

Now, let's talk about my biggest problem, and that's her teleportation wand.
Originally the function of this wand was really simple; it just teleports them, with no limit or catch whatsoever. This plot-hole already makes the sole plot flawed, as they can just be teleported to the Diamond Mountain and retrieve the crown. They'd complete the quest in minutes.

Anyway, that was the original function. I added a new one after rereading the book.

The function of this wand was simple: it teleports people, but it has a limit as to how far they could go and it still needs to restore its power.

This is a special tool of Enna's, of course, and she uses it during important events that happen. But this wand was pretty useless throughout the entire book, so she really had no reason to bring it along. They could've accomplished so much with it, and even without it, they were close to completing the quest.
That's why this teleportation wand was not planned so perfectly whatsoever.

All right. That's all I have to rant about Enna - the main problems being her supposedly "cold" attitude, which wasn't shown a lot in the book, and her lack of common sense. She was dumb, even dumber than Zalina who was the planned comic relief. Her teleportation wand, although it doesn't have anything to do with her overall character, still plays a big impact on the story itself, and her inability to use it during crucial times just proves that the sole idea of Enna's presence in the book was useless, not to mention incredibly bland.

So, here are the list of ideas for Enna:

-Make her cold demeanor showed more. Her hostility plays a big part in maintaining relationships with both Zalina and Alyssa. Although Zalina and Enna were already quite close from the start, the bond between Alyssa and Enna was important as it helps with a good progress of character development and story.

-Don't make her stupid. I get that Alyssa's supposed to be the smart one, but she does not have to lack common sense all the time.

-Lastly, make her reflect on her backstory as well, since it plays a big part on her character and why she is the way she is now. Make her have a deep, meaningful conversation with either Zalina or Alyssa.

Andd that's it for this chapter! I'm so sorry it took so long to publish this one ;-;. Honestly, I didn't plan on coming back to Wattpad until recently. Nevertheless, I hope you still enjoyed reading this! I'll try to write about Zalina... if I have the motivation TwT. See you guys again!
