'I guess It's time to part ways now,' May murmured, glaring down at her shoes nervously. She carefully lift her head back up, glaring at Drew, who was gazing into her eyes deeply once their eyes met.

'Mhm,' Drew exclaimed, with no tone of emotion in his voice. None of the two rivals knew how to make this farewell simple and not too pathetic and unhappy. A weak smile crippled upon May's face as he leapt over to Drew's side. The girl chuckled, probably choking on her tears, who were slowly forming in her eyes.

'Drew.. until we meet again,' May began, whilst her hair was dancing in the wind beautifully, 'I'm glad you were my first ever rival and friend in the contest world, Drew,' May assured as she pulled in to give Drew a passionate hug.

The boy looked weirded by the sudden action. May heard Drew pout on her neck in surprise. '...Y-Yeah. I'm glad I've got to know you as well,' Drew mumbled shyly after a couple seconds of complete silence struck by. May eventually let go, once more staring into Drew's green, hypnotizing eyes.

May turned around, ready to end the scene. But before she walked away, Drew cut her off. 'Before you go,' Drew mouthed, 'I've got something.' May turned around, as Drew carefully handed her a thornless rose. May looked up. It had been a while ago ever since Drew gave her a rose.

'Is it..' May murmured, caught off guard by the comment. 'It is.' Drew smiled warmly at May, as May's face expression softened. She turned around, ready to walk off. 'Farewell, Drew,' she chuckled, as she lift her arm up to wave him goodbye without looking back.

It was the same old story.
The thornless rose for her beautifly.

She finally got what he meant.
the rose wasn't just for her beautifly.
It was for her.

May buried her head in her arms. She was leaning on the table uncomfortably, with her eyes a bit heavy. She glared over a vase with roses. No, it weren't just roses, it were the roses. His roses for her beautifly. At least, that's what she knew. Little did she know, that all roses that she had gotten, were given to her for a much different reason.

She lift her head up, snapping back to reality as she heard the bell ring. Her parents nor Max were home, they were going shopping. Perhaps they were back? May pulled herself up, drawing her steps towards the door, effortlessly pulling it open. She was pretty sure it was going to be her family, but to her surprise, it was someone she thought she'd never see again.

It was him.
Drew, the green haired rival. The one that always had constantly teased her in the beginning, so much that when they started off she had grown pretty big hatred towards him in the beginning. But after since he has started opening up, she felt at ease around him.

'D-Drew?' May murmured in surprise, her voice nearly stumbling. She uncontrollably moved herself forward, immediately pulling Drew into a hug. With trembling knees she murmured some unintelligible words. 'Hey, May,' Drew had whispered in her ear, hugging her as well. May had pressed her hand on his chest, only to feel his heart racing.

She took a step back, grimacing shyly. Drew huffed, laughing as well, whilst letting his hand rub against his neck awkwardly. 'Would you.. like to come inside? My parents aren't home.' She added, 'they won't make a fuzz about you being here,' she continued. Drew nodded, following may into the relatively huge mansion.

Drew let his gaze run across the room, his eyes falling down on a small vase with roses. He rose an eyebrow, unsure wether that were the roses he had given her a long time ago. 'May, are those..' he mumbled, pointing towards the vase of thornless roses. Mays face grew red, as in embarrassment, she took a step backwards.

'Y-yeah!' She laughed, 'They're .. the roses, the roses for beautifly!' She chuckled, bottling up her nervousness and bad mood. Drew tilted his head, looking back at May. '...Don't tell me..' he murmured, gritting his teeth. 'What?' May asked, as she rose her shoulders into a shrug. 'I told you when we parted ways. The roses weren't ever for your beautifly,' He commented.

May stood there, pouting in confusion. 'Huh?' she murmured again, and which to Drew rose his arm to press his hand onto his face, in a sort of facepalming way, with his face heating up lightly. 'You don't get it!' He laughed, as he slowly leapt over to May's side. May choked on her words, not knowing what to say exactly.

Drew drove her into the corner of the room, letting out a chuckle here and there. Mays back met the wall of the room, as she felt a blush creeping upon her cheeks as well. Drew had drawn his arm towards the wall, towering infront of May. May clenched her teeth, surprised by Drew's move. 'The roses weren't ever for your beautifly, May,' he beamed.

'They were for you.' Drew murmured slyly, with a grimace, yet May felt how nervous and heated up Drew was as well. 'What, they were?' May asked, whilst she had trouble getting the right words out of her mouth. 'You're so dense,' Drew muttered, as he slowly moved his head towards May's face. May couldn't say anything at all now.

'Mind if I?' Drew whispered, into her ear, waiting for a reply before pulling his head back a little. '...S-Sure..? Drew, what are you about to-' And that's when it happened. Drew had gently pressed her lips into his, and he noticed May's eyes widen. Drew let go, his eyes filling with regret. 'Oh, I'm sorry, that wasn't what you thought I meant, was it?'

Drew couldn't say anything more before May pulled him back into the kiss. Drew let his eyelids sink. After so long, it finally happened. The two broke apart from the kiss, as Drew managed to mumble, with his voice trembling, 'I love you.'
