Amy felt a strong wave of excitement as her heart skips a beat when Sonic finally said the three big words. "Amy, starting a couple of days ago, every time I see you, talk to you, or even think about you, I grow to care for you more but I can't tell if it is love or something else but I now realize it is love. Amy Rose, I love you and I will protect you anyway I can," Sonic said while staring into Amy's eyes.
Amy's heart was beating drastically. She now knows that her blue hero loves her, but she couldn't find a way to respond because she was so speechless.
They stared at each others eyes in silence. Then Sonic wrapped his arms around her waist and laid his head down on Amy's chest knowing that she is too speechless to come up a response. Amy knows that she has to say or do something in response to what Sonic has said.
Her mind was in pure excitement on what she is wanting to do. She picks up Sonic's head as a last minute decision, she kisses him. Sonic's eyes shot wide open, but due to the pleasure, he slowly closes them. Amy then realizes what she was doing and breaks the kiss.
Sonic was staring at Amy with confusion and sadness from the kiss being broke too early. Both of their faces were blushing. Amy then said," I'm so sorry, I knew I shouldn't done that." Amy turned away in embarrassment.
Sonic was thinking his own way to respond. He has found one but he is not sure if she will like it. "Well, it's worth a shot," he said in his head. He picks her up bridal style so fast it surprised Amy and he returned the kiss. Amy felt like she was in heaven. Then she slowly wrapped her arms around Sonic's neck.
Sonic slowly broke the kiss because he knew he would go too far too fast. Amy had confusion in her eyes as Sonic stared in her eyes.
"What's wrong Sonic, why did you break this kiss," Amy asked. Sonic replied, I don't want to go too far too fast." Amy understands that Sonic doesn't want to go too far and was actually glad Sonic wasn't any of those boyfriends who go too far too fast in their relationship.
Sonic looked at the clock in her room. "It's already 10:00? Amy, you need to get to some rest in order to get healed properly." Amy giggled, " Sonic, I'm not a kid no more so I think I'm too old for a bedtime. Sonic laughed in response.
There was silence in the bathroom until Sonic broke the silence seconds later,"Well, I'll be in your room in the corner if you need me so I'll uhhh.... close the door to give you some privacy." Amy responded with a nod.
Sonic slowly walked out the bathroom and softly closed the bathroom door. He slowly walked up to the corner to lay down on the recliner. As he lays down on the recliner staring at the ceiling, he was thinking on what happened in the bathroom the whole time.
His mind was in racing in different thoughts,"Her hair is so flowing, her emerald green eyes are so beautiful, she is a great kisser, I touched her breast, her pink fur is so soft and luscious, I finally told her how I feel, I wonder she feels about me the exact same way I feel about her.
He heard the bathroom door open and quickly closed his eyes. He heard slow, light footsteps coming toward him. Then, he felt a presence right above his head. He layed there pretending to be asleep the best way he can for what seemed like a few minutes.
He feels a pair of soft lips brushing on his forehead. He smells an aroma of roses and flowers. "I love you Sonic, good night," Amy whispered into Sonic's ear. Sonic heard Amy as clear as crystal.
Sonic hears the soft footsteps move in the opposite direction away from Sonic and hears the brushing and bristling of fabric on the bed moving.
Sonic waits for a few minutes until he opens his eyes. He sees Amy sleeping peacefully on the bed. Sonic was again realizing how cute Amy looks like when she is sleeping.
