~~3rd person POV~~

After some spaced out, some happy at the sight of the young man enjoying his waffles, or happy at the prospect of a new friend, all the members of the house finished their breakfast.

"Finn, after you are ready, can you come to my office?"

Malek said to the young man that was still happy about having waffles.

"Sure!"

Finn was still in could nine. He could rarely eat waffles. He had never eaten homemade waffles since his mother didn't like to cook, and even the frozen ones had been a while ago since he had eaten one because his mother didn't like them, so he could only eat them sometimes when they gave them at his school.

Finn followed Malek to his office, sat down at the chair that was in front of the desk, and waited until Malek sat down.

"I will tell you where you are, and what are your options now."

Malek crossed his hands and rested them on the desk. The atmosphere in the office suddenly changed; however, Finn's happiness didn't diminish.

"Here is the back of the psych ward 'Calming days'. The front is the actual ward where I am the director while the back is my and my partners' house. I have not given you a complete assessment, but from what I have seen, there is no need for you to be admitted to the hospital. You have two options. One, if you have family members, you could go to you can stay with them? And first of all, how old are you? "

Malek asked while assessing how Finn was reacting to the information that he had just given. Finn gave a big sigh feeling like a big weight suddenly fell from him.

"Yes, I have an aunt that I can go to, and I am 17 years old."

Finn said with a straight face like what he said was entirely the truth. It was the truth that he was 17 years old, but he didn't have any other relatives that he knew of since his mother didn't like his father's side family, she was an only daughter, and her parents had already passed away. That was just an excuse to leave the strange place and don't bother the men any longer.

Malek couldn't see if the young man was lying or if he truly had an aunt in the city, so he asked.

"Oh, could you give me her phone number? I want to talk with her to see if she will be able to come or if we need to take you to her house."

Finn's expression was the same and didn't change even when he was almost caught in his lie.

"I don't remember the number from the top of my head. I had the number on my phone, but I didn't have time to take it with me when my mother left me here. I can just go walking to her house or you can just drop me off at a bus station, and I can go there by myself."

Finn said lies without missing a beat, a skill that he learned when dealing with his mother and hiding his true self to appear more normal.

"You are still a minor, so it is more the reason to talk with the people that are going to take care of you since even if you were not officially admitted to the hospital, you are still under my charge, so I need to know them before turning you in since if something happens to you after you leave this place, I can be liable of something happening to you."

'Two can play this game' Malek thought. He didn't know how much of what the young man said was true, but he knew that not everything was. He didn't want to just leave him to his own luck. He had just been in contact with the young man for less than a day, but he pities him since he was abandoned and didn't seem to be processed that well and didn't seem like he had a place to go.

Finn looked a little unsure of what to do now. He didn't want to overstay their hospitality nor did he thinks that he would be able to escape since the man just told him that his is an actual psych ward and would obviously have some security measures in place to prevent escapees.

Malek could see the gears turn in Finn's head to try and come up with a solution to his current predicament. He was used to people trying to convince him that they were right or that they had someone to take care of them when they have the probability of getting discharged, so he had to analyze people carefully and methodologically since there are some patients that have conditions that make them professional liars and manipulators; he didn't want for that accident to happen again.

"Another option is that you admit yourself into the psych ward for treatment and diagnosis, but I don't recommend that option since this is a private institution, the bill is kind of high without insurance, and I don't think that your mother was kind enough to leave you with your insurance card or even pay for it."

Malek said as he gauged Finn's elusive expressions. He could see that he had hit the jackpot in the last sentence when he saw a realization expression on his face.

"And finally the option that I believe is the most reasonable and the one that I prefer that you choose, you can stay here in my and my partners' house while you find a place that you can stay while you finish high school or if you want to go to college."

Malek hoped that Finn would choose the latter option instead of the former one because he would fill more at ease knowing that at least the kid is fed and has somewhere to sleep until he can put his life together. He knows that this might be a little cumbersome to his lovers, but he believes that they would receive the boy with open arms. Malek laughed to himself lightly remembering the eyes that used Evan, Joseph, and Matt while looking at Finn during breakfast. He knew that he had already won three of his eight lovers' care.

Who knows it might even be nine at some point, but that is for another time.
