they continue in their path until they stumble upon a distressed bellossom. they originally planed to walk past it but she spots them before they get to make a move. she begins to launch attacks at them, none of them hitting. they don't want to fight so Bulbasaur negotiates. "look, we don't want to fight" he pleaded "we just want to pass by!" but Bellossom was having none of it still thinking they are apart of "Black shirts" trying to capture her.
Bulbasaur was tempted to just attack right then and there until Jack pleaded to not fight, rather looking for a more peaceful solution or at least make her stop attacking them, Bulbasaur sighs and jumps forward in battling position awaiting suggestions on how to approach the situation.
In an instant, Jack realized that he has taken the role of a trainer and has to provide orders for battling. he has seen enough from the anime to know how this is done so without hesitation he extended his arm exclaiming "razer leaf!" and just like that Bulbasaur jumps in the air shooting razor leaf at the Bellossom hitting her a little. but jack knows that is not enough, so he follows up with power drain which causes the Bellossom to tire out and land on the ground.
the Bellossom begins to plead for her life claiming she will do anything to be set free, but jack cuts her of reassuring her that "there is nothing to worry about, me and Bulbasaur here don't work for team rocket". Bulbasaur nods in agreement with that statement. however, Bellossom is confused on how Jack understood what she was saying, Bulbasaur realized and explained that Jack is a miracle boy who can do just that. still confused, Bulbasaur sigh and recapped the conversation from earlier.
Now that she is all cough up and no longer aggressive, Jack explains that they have a lead on where a TR base could be and their intent to free all the Pokémon and destroy it afterwards. the bellossom is happy that they have that intention and has been basically praying that somebody would do that and now this is her answer. Jack also offers the opportunity to tag along for the main event "the more the merrier right?" Jack said in an optimistic tone. after careful consideration, Bellossom decides to join them in their adventure, With caution of course.
that's all Jack needed to hear and after Bellossom regained her strength, the three of them continue towards their destination.
continuing in the trail. both Bulbasaur and Bellossom size up Jack to make sure he is not going to pull a fast one on them. he notices and tries to brake the ice. "uh, so... what do you do often". they give a hesitant answer not exactly sure what to say. the rest of their trip echoes the awkwardness of that situation.
after a couple of minuets, both Bulbasaur and Bellossom stomach begin to grumble as they get hungrier. Jack decides to stop and suggest they look for some barries or something. the distrust between jack and the Pokémon become apparent as they decide to look by themselves and leave Jackson to himself. eventually the Pokémon find a good amount of barries but they are stuck to the tree enough to not be garbed by the Pokémon, jack pulls up to help out but is rejected because a human can't climb the tree... right? jack ignored their ridicule and proceeded to climb the tree and snatch a good amount of barries. when he god down most of them have already been eaten by the two but bulbasaur saved one for him as a thanks. after getting their stuffing, they are back in the trail better then ever before to their objective, now with a bit more trust.
