At the break of dawn, Jackson slowly opened his eyes only to be greeted with the bright orange light streaming in through the curtains. After a good few seconds of debating to just put a pillow over his face to shield himself from the offending light, he ultimately decided that the no passing cloud would provide him mercy from the unforgiving sun. Reluctantly, he gets up from his bed rubbings his eyes, as soon as his eyes adjust, he notices that his two roommates are already long gone. Quickly glancing over at the clock on the nightstand, he comes the damning conclusion that he supper late to class and that particular alarm clock is going to be super dead when he gets back. In a panic, Jackson throws off the covers, trips over his shoes while trying to put on his clothes and stumbles out of his dorm room in a span of four minutes. World record. Now, making a mad dash to his class of which he is late for can warrant a few glares from passerby and then the teacher but Jackson thinks it may be a bit much to also be scolded for in front of the entire class about wasting time and interruptions by more wasting time to get after him for it. He apologizes and takes a seat, it takes all of his rapidly decreasing dignity to hold himself together when he realizes something... he didn't bring his backpack. This is the worst day yet, he thinks to himself, luckily the end of semester is on the horizon, Its all going to be over soon . As soon as he finished the thought, Jackson felt something thump the back of his head. It didn't hurt but it did bring him back to reality. He put his hand to the back of his head and blinked downwards, its seems that the projectile was an erasure. Oh Great, he thinks.  Jack turns his head back to glance at the culprit, he is not surprised none other than Damien Poe.

Damien has decided to spend his college experience being the source of ultimate annoyance to Jack. He never knew exactly why he was a prime target for him but Jack theorized that he has a superiority complex. Jack wasn't the best at anything, but was well enough in his studies that he managed to graduate a year early at made it to college when he was 17. While he is certainly not better than most students, it seems to affect Damien more than any of his classmates. Maybe he saw Jack as a competitor for his imaginary social hierarchy. Maybe their was somehow miscommunication between them. Maybe Damien just didn't want to breath the same air as him. Whatever it was, Jackson could care less.

Jack continued his studies until he went into Engineering class. He knew that this class was going to be the most difficult but as much as it is a useful skill to have, but he didn't like the homework that was presented to him one bit.  After feeling the metaphorical slap in the face with more difficult homework anyone would ask for, he wanted to de-stress in a quiet place that doesn't have many people in it. There's no point in going back to the dorms since he's going to have another class by in a few hours. The sanctuary came in the form of the library, a not so secret place to use the AC and to catch a few Z's peacefully.

Upon reaching the library, the last person he expected to nearly run into there was his headache for the past year, lo and behold Damien 'erasure-throwing' Poe was there. Jack quickly hid himself out of sight behind the bookshelves so there would be any bloodshed... metaphorically speaking of course. What is he doing here? The entire semester and never once did Jackson see Damien in the library. Is he here for me? Is he planning something? As his mind are filled with anxiety, he suddenly saw in the corner of his eye, a bright blue light flashing. It quickly engulfed Damien and then disappeared as quickly as it appeared. "did anybody see that" he though while looking around as he approaches the spot where Damien once stood. In that spot lies a book titled "Tragic Decidueye", on the cover lies an image to a very familiar cartoon. Jackson felt a wave of nostalgia at remembering how he spent his mornings with Pokemon battles and adventures on a television screen. Jack even thinks he probably had a small pack of cards in his old room. To be honest he wasn't much of a reader on the franchise when he was younger, though probably because he wasn't aware there were any books. Jack picked up the book and skimmed through the first couple of pages before closing up suddenly when a slight blush. It seems that dear ol Damien has upgraded from the fun whimsical morning cartoons to material that is more... mature. Jackson isn't as naive in the world of modern technology and suitable internet connection to not know what a hentai book is. Damien that sly dog, and bold too for him to read it in the college library. You would believe that any sane man, a college-educated man at that would be more curious as to why a classmate who was supposedly reading this book disappeared for some reason. Although he indeed has many questions regarding his mysterious disappearance, he only had one thought, Free hentai! Hey, a man has priorities, misplaced or not. After giving it a quick read, Jackson felt... saddened about the plot. While most 'mature' books aren't exactly the holiest of thing to be made, being kidnaped against your will for somebody else benefit isn't really his taste of material. Jackson found himself wishing that maybe there was a way for a happier ending.  Suddenly, a familiar blue light engulfs him and, similarly to Damien, Jackson disappears leaving only the book on the library floor.

Next thing Jack knew he was on in his back, laying in the grassy ground with no sight of the book, or library for that matter. Picking himself up he realizes he is in a forest, definitely not anywhere on campus. Walking around, Jack noticed that evidently he never lost his deep childhood hatred for camping and forest and bugs and why tHE HELL WAS HE EVEN HERE! Jack was about to start kicking rocks in frustrating until he heard something to his left. Overjoyed at the possibility of getting direction in the leafy hell he went towards the sound of what seemed to be a woman and man conversing. He stopped as soon as he got a good view of them, there was a surprisingly large green and white owl-looking thing walking with a huge white... roly poly? Jackson them suddenly remembered and realized why they looked so familiar.

A Decidueye and a Golisopod walking though the area similarly to which the book depicted it. It's absolutely insane, bonkers even but he may be  in the... in a pokemon world. Jackson shook his head, obviously not he thought. The more likely conclusion was that the book was a mere trap set up by none other than his college nemesis. Damien probably rounded the corner and upgraded from his usual verbal harassment to full on decking him in the head and knocking him out. This is all just a dream from his own memories on the manga itself. Jackson couldn't rationalize more on the situation because a commotion broke him away from his thoughts.  Glancing to where he saw the pokemon previously, he viewed the eerily familiar scene from the comic where Team Rocket goons are taking the duo away.

Jackson couldn't believe it, it happened and he just stood there! In a fit of rage, he jumped out and seemed to catch the goons by surprise. He attempted to hit one of them but unsurprisingly they dodged. After stumbling a bit to catch his footing, he turns around to yell at them to leave the Pokémon alone. The Team Rocket grunts are confused as to why there is a random kid pretty deep in the forest, trainers usually keep to the paths.

"I know what you're doing," Jack yelled, fully facing the two.

The two grunts seem at shock and glance at one another.

"I thought that program was suppose to be kept secret" one grunt says to  the other.

"Yeah... so we will keep it that way" the grunt says while turning his head slowly towards Jackson, "Garchomp!"

Before Jackson can even say what, in a blink of an eye, one of them send out a dark blue dinosaur-looking pokemon. Jackson doesn't even have time to prepare as the garchomp spun it's tail to strike him at the chest. He flew backwards with the wind knocked out of him before roughly landing on the ground. Barely conscious and struggling to breath, Jack couldn't see them but he can hear them talk in the distance.

"Is he dead?"

"Dead or alive, he probably wont tell anyone any time soon."

"...Yeah, your probably ri-"

"Anyways I call dibs on carrying the decidueye!"

"DAMN IT! Garchop, little help here..."

The last thing he heard was something being dragged and the sound of laughter fading away before falling into darkness.
