NAOMIS POV:
i had just gotten home from being in afghanistan. i'm in the army and have been for about 2 years. they tried getting me to sign another contract for being away for another year and i was not having that. i wanted to see my best friends and my family. i want to surprise my family and friends so i'm showing up to each on of their houses,work and schools! i have 3 younger siblings, i have a 11 year old brother who is  named leo and a 8 year old sister who is named lily and then a 5 year old brother named bruce who goes to daycare! first i want to surprise my parents. my parents both work in a restaurant. my moms a waitress and my dad is the owner. they tried getting me to work with them but i joined the army instead. i walk into their restaurant and sit down. a younger waitress walks by and immediately knows who i am.

waitress- OH MY GOSH!

me- ahh please! can you record my mother and father please? tell them i need the boss and mary out on table 5

waitress- yes of course!

me- here's my phone!

i hand her my phone and she starts walking away and records. i hide my face and a few seconds later i hear my father clear his throat. then my mother starts apologizing.

mom- i'm so very sorry is something is wrong!

dad- what seems to be the problem anyway? the food looks delicious!

i drop the menu and face them.

me- well the problem is mom didn't make it the way i like it being made!

mom- OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD

dad- MIJA!

my parents and me are now crying and basically sobbing hugging each other.

me- i fucking love you guys!

mom- we know mija we know..

my parents pull away from the hug and my mom wipes the tears while my dad shakes his head.

dad- i'm so proud of you mija..

mom- i cant believe it! tell us all about it later please mija?

me- of course mama! i need to go see everyone first then tonight we can talk yeah?

dad- of course mija! we love you!

me- i love you guys so so much.. can i take the truck?

mom- si mija!

me- gracias mama!

i kiss my moms cheek and my dads cheek and grab the keys. i make my way to my dads truck and start it. once i get to my brothers school i walk into the office.

me- hi uhm do you know where leo valdez is?

office lady- yes he is in gym right now.

me- great uhm could you possibly take me down there to surprise him and record it?

office lady- oh sweetheart yes! let me get you a visitor tag then we can go!

TIME SKIP: gym doors!

office lady- alright breath ok? i'll walk in first then call his name and tell him to stay in his spot then you walk in ok

me- yeah simple!

once the lady walks into the gym i hear her call his name and tell him to stay still then i walk into the gym doors and he immediately runs into my arms and cries.

leo- NAOMI! omg omg omg i missed you so much

me- i missed you leo.. i love you..

leo- you aren't leaving again right?
