♦Shai's point-of-view♦. :]

I wake up with a terrible pain in my abdomen, and sweat lining my forehead.

I clutch my stomach and let out a loud groan, which wakes up Theo.

"What's wrong?" He slurs, voice still heavy from sleep.

"My stomach," I groan "hurts." Theo faces immediately looks worried, which I think is dumb considering it's probably the flu.

"Do you need anything? Are you okay? Are you dying?" He presses his palm to my forehead. "Your burning up."

I actually feel really cold, so I wrap myself completely with blankets.

I suddenly feel the need to puke, so I rush to our bathroom.

I begin to puke in the toilet, which is mostly stomach acid. Theo comes in and holds my hair back.

When I'm done, my throat is sore and raspy. Theo flushes the toilet and wipes the bile from around my mouth with a napkin.

"C'mere," Theo holds me tightly against his collarbone, as he grabs a washcloth and wets it with warm water.

"Come lay down," Theo guides me to our bed with a concerned look on his face.

I immediately comply, to tired and sick to argue. When I get settled in the blankets he puts the washcloth on my forehead.

"Just relax baby, I'm going to take care of you." Theo lightly rubs my bloated belly. I sigh gratefully and let sleep take over me.

I try not to panic as Shai falls asleep. She just has the flu, right?

I grab Shai's mason jar out of the fridge and head back to our bedroom, putting it on the night stand in case she wakes up soon.

"Theo?" Shai mumbles into her pillow. I sit on the side of the bed and stroke her hair. "I'm here," she let's out a cough, I hate to see my baby like this.

"Theo?" She asks again. I kiss her cheek. "Yes love?" She takes a deep breath. "Will you sing some cheesy love song to me?"

If this is what my poor girl wants when she's sick, then so be it. I have a perfect song in mind, one that my mother used to sing when I was young.

"Of course love." I clear my throat and start to begin.

"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy, when sky's are grey."

Shai's mouth curls into a smile, I'm glad she doesn't hate my singing.

"You'll never know dear, how much I love you, please don't take my sunshine away."

Please don't take my sunshine away.

The end of this chapter makes me really happy for some reason.
