"What do you mean you told Kate?" Mikayla hissed, pulling Alex into a row of lockers roughly. "You promised you wouldn't tell anyone!"
"She asked and since you guys are so close I honestly didn't think you'd mind!" Alex defended, shoving Mikayla's arm away. "Whats the big deal anyway? Are you embarrassed of him of something?!"
"You know I'm not, Kate is just incredibly overprotective and it won't go down well with my family. So thank you for that!"
"Just tell her not to mention it. Relax, Mikayla, it really isn't that big of a problem!" Alexa soothed, clearly not understanding why Mikayla was so annoyed, which was understandable as Alex didn't know Derek's true identity, nor did she know Mikayla's real family business.
"Whatever, I have to go. I'll see you around." Mikayla replied, her voice cold and dripping of venom. Storming off, the blonde decided to best move would be to talk Kate down, but she had no idea where the only Argent girl would be. The second best move Mikayla thought would be to tell Derek, but she didn't have a clue where he would be either. She slightly regretted being so harsh with Alex, knowing that her best friend really didn't do it to annoy her or to try to make things hard, but nevertheless, she never should have abused her trust.
"Mikayla, hey-"
"Not now, Kaiden." Mikayla interrupted, not bothering to even stop or look at him as she continued to make her way down the hallway towards her locker. Fingers crossed, someone who could help her would be hanging around it, but as she turned the corner, no one was in sight. Sighing, she approached her locker and clumsily collect her books, rushing to her next class and trying to clear her mind of all the drama currently surrounding her. After all, last period she had Chemistry and the cutest lab partner out.

Lunch time rolled out slowly and since this morning, Mikayla hadn't said another word to Alex so when she walked into the cafeteria and saw Alex sitting at Peter and Derek's table, laughing as though she had been best friends with the two since preschool, it was fair to say Mikayla was a little surprised. Derek, sensing his girlfriend's presence, looked up at her with a bright grin and waved her over. "Hey, babe." Derek said, pressing his lips to Mikayla's cheek as she sat down beside him. Subtly glaring at Alex, Mikayla smiled softly at Peter and then stole Derek's apple, Derek pretending not to even notice.
"Hey, how is everyone?" Mikayla asked, receiving a chorus of out of time good's. "Derek, I need to talk to you real quick, can we go for a walk or something?"
"Yeah, sure. Peter, take the rest of my lunch. I'll see you after school."
"Bye."
"So what's up?" Derek questioned, giving Mikayla a concerned look once they were out of Alex's earshot.
"Kate knows about us, Alex told her this morning." Mikayla told him, allowing Derek to wrap his hand around her smaller one, the tingles she felt whenever they touched still abnormal to the blonde.
"What do you think Kate will do?"
"Nothing good, she definitely isn't going to be happy and I'm pretty sure she's been avoiding me all day."
"We'll work it out, I'll talk to her. Don't worry, I'm not gonna let anything come between us, she'll understand."
"Yeah, Kate isn't exactly the most reasonable person you'll ever meet." Mikayla mumbled, fidgeting with the hem of her shirt. Noticing the blonde's discomfort, Derek pulled her into his chest and softly rubbed her back, resting his chin on the top of her head.
"It'll be okay, I promise."

Mikayla was to meet Derek at the front of the school as he was supposed to be walking her home. So like usual, when the final bell rang, Mikayla couldn't hide the involuntary smile that stretched onto her face when she thought of her boyfriend waiting for her at the school gates. She knew he was going to talk to Kate, so that would be all sorted out before she met him and she wouldn't have to worry about Kate skinning him alive. Fingers crossed, that is.
The blonde took her time collecting her books and her bag from her locker, not wanting any of the Argent's to catch her with Derek, but when she finally made her way out to the school's front steps, the sight she was greeted with was one that made her want to die on the spot.
Standing only a few feet across from the Griffin girl was her so-called-boyfriend and Kate. The oldest blonde's arm were snaked around Derek's neck and his hands were timidly placed on Kate's hips, the two's lips pressed together.
"So that's how you sort things out, huh?" Mikayla scoffed, blinking away the tears in her eyes as Derek and Kate pulled away from each other. Derek appeared shocked while all Kate did was smirk.
"Mikayl-"
"No, I don't want to hear it and I never want to see you ever again. Stay away from me, Derek." Mikayla hissed, shaking her head in disgust at him. "I really hope you're happy now, silly me for thinking you might actually like me and Kate, I thought you were my friend, but hey, I guess I was wrong about that too."
"No, honey, you'll thank me later. This was all for the best, you'll see." Kate soothed, that stupid smirk never leaving her proud face.
"Trust me, I won't be thanking either of you anytime soon. I'm gonna go home now, but I hope you two get hit by a bus or something." Mikayla spat, glaring at both Kate and Derek before turning around and leaving them there, ignoring Derek's desperate calls as she slowly disappeared from their view. So much for love, Mikayla thought bitterly, letting her salty tears finally stream her heartbroken face. If this is what heartbreak feels like, she was never going to feel it again and slowly a plan of revenge began to form in the hurt blonde's mind. No one gets away with hurting a Griffin, especially a Griffin who can fight and hunt just as well as she could.
