Chapter 10

Third person's POV

A few weeks later, as a popular request from many government members, the annual royal hunting trip was being brought back. The day is decided for next week, and with that, the whole palace is eagerly preparing every necessary things,

Ever since she heard about that news, Mina doesn't even try to hide the fact that she still really really wants to come with Chaeyoung, especially after what happened to her last time when she stayed back by herself. The innocent Princess had always been spoiled by everyone around her ever since she was born, so eventhough she was a royal Princess, her mind never had to think about any political issues. And she stays the same until now, Mina just simply thinks that this is a hunting trip and she wants to be with Chaeyoung on this trip, she just isn't aware of those deep political issues regarding herself that might be involved with it,

On the other hand, eventhough the Queen also really wants to bring Mina with her, but she's afraid that action will put Mina into the center of all the bad gossips, and people around the palace will try to harm Mina out of jealousy because of her obvious favouritism towards the girl. On top of that, bringing a maid means that The Queen has to change the whole constitution regarding hunting's rules, and because Mina is a Myoui, that makes it even harder for Chaeyoung to propose any ideas or changes involving the girl to her government members.

Mina has tried many times to change the Queen's mind, from protesting, pleading to pouting, to being all sulky, but every time, Chaeyoung would just gently soothes the topic away and consistently declines with a gentle pat on Mina's head as a way to calm the girl down,

'Your Majesttttyyyy!' Mina is at it again. She is sitting on the Queen's lap right now to help with the propositions but being all sulky while calling Chaeyoung's attention once in a while,

'Yes yes yes, Mina, I heard you the first time you called.' The Queen replies,

'Then why did you ignore me? Your Majesty, I... I want...' The stubborn Princess never gives up on what she wants,

'Ehmmm...' Chaeyoung clears her throat in disapproval, 'What did I say yesterday? Did you forget about it already? Huhm Mina?'

Mina pouts her lips instantly, she puts the royal seal to the side, stopped with the stamping and just sadly looks down to her lap,

The Queen also puts the proposition which she was reading down and turned her attention to the sulky girl, 'You will be staying at Consort Tzuyu's palace while I'm away, and that's the end of discussion.' Chaeyoung strictly lays down the rule,

Tears are starting to build up in Mina's eyes upon hearing the stern tone, she doesn't say anything else and just silently protesting,

Seeing that Mina is clearly upset, Chaeyoung gestures for everyone else to leave the room. She then tells Mina in a softer tone, 'Mina, turn around and look at me.'

Mina doesn't want to but she has to obey to the Queen's command, she reluctantly turns her body half way, sitting sideway on Chaeyoung's lap now,

'Consort Tzuyu had promised me to keep you safe. She is a very nice and trustworthy person, therefore I believe that no one in this whole palace would dare to harm you while you are under her protection.' The Queen gently tells Mina,

'I... I'm not worried about that. Your Majesty, I just simply want... to come with you in the hunting trip.' Mina replies with her still pouting lips,

Chaeyoung sighs softly before having to tell the girl she loves a "No" once more, because deep down inside, she wants to bring Mina with her, no matter where she goes, 'Mina, I also want to bring you with me, but... rules are rules...'
