I woke up, got ready, and made my way to school. Today was the talent show. I knew what I needed to do. I'm gonna go up on stage today in front of the whole school today to show them that I'm not afraid to be myself. I'm gonna embrace my weird and quirky side, and in the end.....confess to Lucas.
I open the red double doors and enter the auditorium. I write my name on the sign up sheet and list my song. Just as I'm about to put my grade someone snatches the pen out of hand! It's Tiffany! And behind her are Rachel and Lauren!
"What are you doing nerd?" Tiffany scoffs.
"Aww she's gonna sing a little song for the talent show" Lauren says in a baby voice, as she and Rachel laugh.
"Are you sure you can sing?" Rachel asks.
Tiffany looks at me with a disgusted face and says, "You can't sing at the talent show..I'm the only girl singing"
"Well...YOU CAN'T TELL MY WHAT TO DO!" I shout.
Tiffany, Rachel, and Lauren all look at me in shock.
"What did I ever do to you Tiffany? We used to be the best of friends when we were younger. Until your Dad left you...you hated me!" I said, "Maybe it's because you grew in a broken home and I didn't"
A look of hurt paints Tiffany's face. I smile to give her reassurance. As soon as I think everything is good Tiffany starts to swing at me! Rachel and Lauren thankfully hold her back!
"BITCH YOU DON'T KNOW ME THAT WELL TO TALK ABOUT MY LIFE THA-"
"And next up is Condensation West" the announcer announces.
"Sorry Tiff....but I have to do it..I need to show everyone my true self!" I say before running onto the stage.
