"I'm opening up for whom again?"I asked my assistant as I touched up my makeup blowing kisses at myself in the mirror.
Hearing the sounds of paper flipping & turning I wonder who I was opening for. I was excited to get my music career back on track.
"King Von's show, miss"My assistant said as she showed me the schedule for the show seeing that I'm be gone for 2 weeks.
"That's fine tell him the show is on & I'm excited to see met with him"I said as I got up from the chair walking out of the room.
I was happy that I was finally living for me making music & loving my fans,life was looking real good for me I could tell.
Walking out of the building walking over to Starbucks for my regular which is 2 cake pops & a strawberry refresher.
Ordering it I sat down waiting as I scrolled through Instagram as I received a text from my mom telling me she loved me & how proud she was of me.
My order was ready to go I got up and got it walking out and walking around Chicago,this was where I was born & raised in, where I started my career.
My phone started ringing getting it from my pocket looking at it was an unknown number so I declined it but they called back.
I got curious about who it was so I answered the phone & it was Von.
"I was just calling to introduce myself since you'll be opening up for me you should swing by the studio"
"Yea that's fine but which studio & how did you get my number?"
"Don't worry about it but studio by 64 street"
I couldn't say anything after that cause he hung up so quickly but where said to meet up at was kinda questionable but I just brushed it off.
A few hours later I was making my way to the studio looking out of the window so I can see the studio I parked in front where there were a lot of man.
I was nervous but soon as I got out Von was right there waiting for me with a smile on his face I could tell he was trying to flex his grils & think I'll fall in love with him but unt unt no.
"Nice to meet you Mariah"he spoke in a soft tone as he turned around & walked back in to the studio as I followed behide him.
"Nice to meet you too Von I heard good things about you & your music"I said as we made our way to the room.
He closed the door behind him as he sat down watching me as I sat next to him.
"You sing?"he asked me as he looked for beats.
"Yea I sing it's my passion it's the only thing that keeps happy in my life I don't know what I'll do without it"I said.
"Yea that's coo but get in the booth I want to hear what you bout"he said pointing to the booth.
Getting up from the chair into the booth my heart was beating thru my shirt.I could tell that he didn't want just anybody opening up for him.
Putting the headphones on my ear the beat sounded different than from what I'm used to but I pushed thru & started singing.
It took him a while to show any signs of that he cared but he looked up & made eye contact with me nodding his head.
I started feeling myself so I went harder as his eyes grew wide looking at me & he stopped the beat as I walked out the booth.
"You did ya shii but I had to see if you was really bout what you was saying cause I can't have just anybody opening up for me" he said as he gave me a big hug.
Hugging him back felt like we was hugging forever he smelt so fucking good.
"Thank you but it's getting late I'm head out now Von, thanks for tonight" I said picking up my purse walking to the door.
" let me walk you to your car cause it's getting late"he said as he walked out the room.
Following behide him he stopped & pushed me in front of him.
"Walk in front of me so I can see you & know you good"he said aggressively.
I didn't think nothing of it I just kept walking till we got to my car. He opened my door for me as I got in.
"Thank you for letting me open up for you I'll see you when we do show rehearsal Friday"I said smiling at him.
" you'll prolly see me before that but have a good night" he said with a smirk on his face as he walked away going to talk to his friends.
I pulled off thinking about how excited I was to just be back.
