Abraar jumped out of the car and walked up to his friends, girls and boys alike greeted him with hugs and handshakes. Sidharth being the gentleman he was opened the door for Shehnaaz to come out, she stood up and looked around anxiously "I...I wish you had not asked me to come, I don't like..."
"I am sorry, if I had known I would not have insisted...please don't feel awkward I am here with you". That's the problem, Shehnaaz thought to herself.
Shehnaaz walked silently behind Sidharth and Abraar, as they went further into the club the crowd around her grew, she felt herself being pushed in all directions as she felt everyone close in on her. Shehnaaz tried to call out to Abraar but her voice fell on deaf ears, she looked around to see if she could see Sidharth but all she could see was bright flashing lights that blinded her. Shehnaaz's foot twisted as she tried to hurry her steps, as she fell forwards she felt a hand wrap around her waist and pull her in, she leaned back against his hold with her eyes shut tight "its ok Shehnaaz, I got you...I won't let you go" Shehnaaz felt her heart thud hard as his words echoed around her, it may have only been in the moment but for some reason she believed him.
Sidharth entwined his fingers with her and walked her to an empty table towards the back of the club. Abraar was quick to join them and luckily for Shehnaaz he had not seen Sidharth holding her hand "Sidharth come and join in, I have ordered our drinks"
Sidharth looked at him with a raised eyebrow which made Abraar break out into a laugh "don't worry yours is alcohol free". The whole time he was talking Shehnaaz kept her gaze lowered just wishing she was back at home. "Shehnaaz come and dance with me?" Abraar said smiling at her a little too much "you...you know I can't dance...please you go ahead" Abraar fisted his hand and looked directly at her, Sidharth saw the slight change in his posture and then looked towards Shehnaaz who looked like she was about to cry, not really understanding what was going on between them Sidharth grabbed Abraar's shoulder "come on...lets hit the dance floor, let me see if you still got it in you?" As Sidharth pulled Abraar away from her Shehnaaz looked up at him and as she did he winked at her making her smile faintly.
As the night grew darker Shehnaaz started to feel more and more uncomfortable, she saw Abraar dance with girls around him not leaving much to the imagination, she felt her stomach turn with disgust. Her eyes roamed around to see if she could see him and the she did standing on the other side looking straight at her. The minute their eyes connected she felt a wave of relief wash over her, like she felt a sense of security. Shehnaaz couldn't understand what she was feeling and why, she had only met him so many hours ago and already he had started affecting her so much.
'Criminal' Shehnaaz turned around to see a sleazy looking guy standing over her 'ex..excuse me' she stuttered "I mean such a gorgeous looking girl and all alone, that has to be the crime of the century...let me make it right...come" Shehnaaz looked at his extended and cringed, she shuffled back "no thank you" she said in a blunt tone and looked away.
Shehnaaz felt her heart pick up pace as she tried to look for Sidharth and Abraar, Abraar was at the bar knocking back one drink after another. Shehnaaz stood up and tried to walk away only to be stopped by this guy "come on sweetheart, promise to be gentle"
"Please get out of my way" as the guy stepped closer she felt another hand pull her by the waste and pull her in, Shehnaaz let out a muffled yelp "am so sorry, didn't mean to leave you for so long" Sidharth looked up at the guy and narrowed his eyes "can I help you?" The guy gave him dirty look and walked off. Shehnaaz let out the breath she was holding and looked up at him 'thank you...' 'You ok?' 'No...please take me home'
Sidharth nodded and walked up to Abraar with Shehnaaz close behind "Abraar, we should call it a night...come on man, before you totally waste out" Abraar was far from ready to leave but after seeing Shehnaaz his insides started to burn all he thought about was making her his. Shehnaaz recognised the look in his eyes, it was something she had seen before.
