Ok folks, here is the start of the Viridian Forest 2 parter. This will be where Ash and Serena will get a new Pokémon each. Also, yes, Giovanni in a way will be the equivalent of Kousei Kougami in this universe without him going "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" constantly. But I think that's enough yapping. (Inserts Brave Dragon) REKKA BATOU! HENSHIN! BRAVE DRAGON!

POKERIDERS OOO AND BUILD: INTO THE VIRIDIAN FOREST
**
A scream could be heard echoing through the Viridian Forest as, for the 11th time in a row, a Bug Pokémon had crawled up Misty's leg.
"Misty, could you PLEASE knock it off with the screaming?" Serena asked exacerbated at how easy it was to freak Misty out.
Ash just shook his head, thinking it might be best for them all to just take a rest.
"I'm going to head to the river to get some fresh water. Serena, please take of Molly while I'm away. And Misty, please make sure you don't attract something like an Ariados or a Drapion with your screeching, please." Somewhere in Johto and Sinnoh, an Ariados and Skorupi sneezed.
Ash had arrived at a small stream that had a waterfall in it.
He had just finished up getting the water refilled when he heard something.
"HELP! I'M HANGING FROM A THREAD HERE!" Ash turned towards the sound and saw a green caterpillar Pokémon hanging from a broken branch.
Ash immediately sprang into action and rushed towards the little guy, kicking off the trunk of a nearby tree to get enough height to catch the little guy.
"That was a close one. Are you ok?" Ash asked the caterpillar who nodded.
He was about to ask something when his stomach rumbled.
"Hungry, huh? Here I always keep some food on me just in case." He told it while he pulled out a small bowl and poured some Pokepellets into it.
When the little bug saw this, he immediately began to eat as if his life depended on it.
"Whoa slow down there! You'll get a stomachache if you wolf it down like that." He told it, but the bug didn't stop until it was all gone.
Ash looked at the little guy and then had an idea.
"Hey what would you say to joining me on my journeys?" The bug looked up in surprise.
"But I'm just a weak little Caterpie. What could I bring to your team?" Ash chuckled at that reaction.
"My master, elder brother, and father all say that 'Even if something is weak to start, given enough training and nurturing, they can become powerful enemies' is what they say whenever a small Pokémon comes to them." Caterpie was inspired by this saying and immediately nodded.
Ash held the ball which Caterpie tapped his head on, and was sucked in.
The ball dinged almost immediately.

Meanwhile, at the campsite where they decided to take a break, Serena was brushing Fennekin's fur while Froakie and Pikachu were playing with Molly.
"So Froakie and Fennekin were born 6 years ago and were basically your starters?" Misty asked as she had never seen either Pokémon before.
Serena nodded and would have said something if she didn't get sidetracked by stopping Molly from grabbing Pikachu's tail.
