Another morning began. You were having some down snores on the mattress. When you was coming to roll, you couldn't. It's like someone put anything in your left that prevented you to move - then, you open your eyes and found that was Carrie, she was sleeping peacefully while hugging the bunny doll. she had a genuine slight smile, even during the sleep. "Oh, it's just my friend! Haha looks like she's having a really good sleep." You giggled silently but slid your hand down, trying to wake her up, but with each gentle squeeze, she cling even tighter to the bunny and curl back into the blanket.
You smiled as you watched this scene, then you stretched and slowly stood up. Making your way to the kitchen, you took a glass of coffee and ate a cranberry jam sandwich.
"Mmmm delicious." You commented, having your tongue lick your upper lip just as you massaged your belly, indicating that you are full. Then you proceeded to make another breakfast, this time for your friend Carrie. You prepared a simple but hearty enough meal. The dish consisted of eggs and bacon forming a happy face, plus toast with jam and a glass of coffee. Having all this food ready, you put it on a tray and carefully followed it back to your room. The freckled girl was still sleeping angelically. "Poor thing, I didn't want to wake her, but it's necessary." You left the tray near the mattress and sat back down close to Carrie.
"Carrie? Honey, wake up. It's morning already." You gave her a gentle shake on the shoulder.
"Aww mama, more little minutes." And Carrie turned to her right, still wrapped in the blanket. You giggled. "Honey, it's Y/N! And I'm not your mother."
Carrie opened her eyes and yawned, stretching hard. After she sees you, she smiles happily and hugs you, patting you on the back of the head. You smiled back and did the same.
"Good morning, darling! Slept well?" you asked her. Carrie nodded her head in agreement. "Yes, I have never slept so well before."
"That's great!" You caressed her hair softly. Isn't any news that she loves when you give soft touches in her head.
"Hmmm that smells good, what is it?" Carrie asked, looking around, trying to figure out where the smell was coming from.
"Ah, this." You pick up the tray "I made you some breakfast."
Carrie was thrilled, because her mother had never done it with as much love as you did. "No, I didn't deserve to be loved this much." she thought. In Carrie's mind, she still believed she was a freak who didn't deserve to be loved that much. The world has been so mean to her that even knowing your good nature, it's still a little hard for her. After all, everything to her was new.
"Thank you so much!!!" she cautiously took the tray and started to eat. with each bite, Carrie found herself savoring with closed eyes. You are happy to see the girl eating better. This was the result of all the love she needed, all she just needed. After finishing her meal, Carrie's mouth was all smeared with jelly. "Ooops, I think it's a little dirty, Carrie." She was embarrassed, like a repentant child who made a mess. You patted her, and took a cloth to slowly wipe it off. She had a red face, but you still couldn't see any problem. And then you held hands and went to put things away in the kitchen and enjoyed the rest of the day and afternoon together - since Carrie helping you with the domestic tasks your mother tells you to do to get ready for the prom with you. And nothing of Carrie to want to go back to her old ''home'', which was more like a prison disguised as religion. Before meeting you, Carrie didn't feel safe either at school or at home. But now everything has changed, she has a friend, she's learning to be stronger and what it is to feel loved by someone.
