Next day, weekend. a favorite period for every student, because it means no school and no lessons to worry about. Like a day off. Carrie got up in the morning, super excited to do her prom shopping and best of all, she will not go alone, but accompanied with a friend. She couldn't wait for that. She got out of her bed, prayed, then ran to get dressed and brush her teeth. Her mother was already on her feet, but with the same serious and cold face. Carrie didn't mind and hugged her mother, bidding her good morning. Margaret didn't answer. She went to eat her breakfast and then wash the dishes. "I love you, Momma!" Said Carrie as she kissed her on the cheek, but Margaret again did not react nor did she respond - but just ignored her daughter and walked to the living room to read the bible, put on her glasses and sit on the couch. Carrie had a half-down look but she didn't care and closed the door after she left.

Since her house was only a mile away from yours. Carrie took no more than 30 minutes. Carrie was walking with a genuine smile on her face, and in the middle of the walk a cat crossed her path and kept slipping between her legs - Carrie picked this cat up and petted it. "What an adorable kitty!" and then she put him back down and he left away.

Carrie waved to the cat and continued on her way. Finally arriving at your house, she rang the doorbell. Who attended it was you, who was wearing the same clothes as the day you met her, holding some books and with a piece of toast in her mouth.

"I'm ready, Carrie!" You positioned yourself like an army soldier. Carrie thought it was funny and laughed at that.

"What happened?" You asked her, not understanding.

"Y/N, today is Saturday. No class today!" Then you blushed but laughed back. Then you went back inside the house. But first, you warned her to wait for a minute, Carrie did. So you go inside but then return about 5 minutes later, you were still in the same clothes but now without the material and no toast as you had just eaten.

"I'm back!" You smiled as Carrie hugged you tightly, you were a little breathless but still smiled at your friend. "Whoa! You look so cheerful today! What happened?"

"It's just that I'm shopping for the prom today. With my best friend!" Carrie looked like a kid who never had friends before, and that when she got her first one, she was excited to do even the simplest things like buying things at a market. For you, maybe it wouldn't be much, but you still agreed because you like to see your friend happy - while as for Carrie, it was the most sensational thing in her life. You and Carrie held hands and walked down the street together. Carrie was happier and smiling than usual. You thought about asking her about her mother, but since your friend was cheerful, you waited to ask her at the right moment, because after all, you were enjoying the normal but pleasant little moment with your dear friend.

You and Carrie arrived at Seeber's Prescriptions, a small store in town that sold a few little things, like make-up and some craft supplies. Carrie was excited to try the store's lipsticks and you watched, but giggled a little. While Carrie was trying on the lipstick, there was a girl in the background who was watching you with a look of disdain, you stared back at her also with disdain but you held your tongue as you pulled down one of your eyelids. The girl was startled by this and walked away. When Carrie turned her attention back to you, you smiled back and then she continued with the lipstick.

'"So, have you decided which lipstick?" You ask. Carrie smiles and shows you a lipstick whose color was a mid-reddish orange. Then you swipe it on her lips to see how it looks - Carrie looked forward to hearing what you thought of it. You smile and comment "Carrie... you were already very cute, now with this lipstick, you're even more adorable!" Carrie thanked you.
