Klaus and Elijah stood facing each other; they smiled at each other and were about to drive the stakes into their hearts when the brothers suddenly heard a loud crack nearby. They turned and saw a young lady standing nearby with a stick.

“Expelliarmus!” she cried.

Instantly the stakes flew out of their hands. Elijah and Klaus looked at the woman, surprised, but their surprise only lasted a second; they rushed the woman, but the woman yelled something at them, and the brothers found themselves immobile.

“Incarcerous, Petrificus Totalus!”

Klaus's arms and legs slammed into his side, and he froze in place, then fell backward, stiff as a board. While ropes shot out of the stick, and Elijah was bound and gagged. He struggled against the ropes, but they were impossible to break.

The woman sighed, in relief, “Whew, I made it just in time. I'm sorry to do this to you, Mr. Mikaelson, but I can't allow you two to die. And so you won't be tempted to do it again, Accio stakes.”

The stakes flew into the woman's hand, and she tossed them on the ground; she pointed her stick at them and set them on fire, “Incendio.”

Elijah's eyes widened, and he struggled harder against the ropes, “You're not going to break free, Mr. Mikaelson, no matter how strong you are; these ropes are magical,” The young lady said as she made her way toward Elijah and Klaus. She kneeled next to Klaus and nodded, then she turned towards Elijah and waved her hand, removing the gag.

Elijah growled at the woman, “How dare you do this to my brother and me. Do you know what you have done?!”

“Yes, I stopped you from making a terrible mistake.”

Elijah's eyes narrowed, “Who are you? What do you want?”

“Oh, where are my manner? My name is Cassiopeia Black; it's nice to meet you, Mr. Mikaelson, and the only thing I want is to help you and your family.”

Elijah stared at, what he assumed was a witch, disbelievingly, “And how do you plan to do that?”

“By taking your brother somewhere where they can safely remove the Hollow and destroy it.”

“Is that truly possible?” Elijah questioned in a hopeful tone.

“I wouldn't be here if it wasn't. You only need to trust me, Mr. Mikaelson. If I untie you, I need your word. You will not attack me.”

Elijah thought, then agreed, “You have my word; no harm will come to you if you release me.”

Cassiopeia nodded and waved her wand, and the ropes vanished. Elijah flexed his arms and rubbed his wrists, then looked at his brother, “What about Niklaus?”

Cassiopeia smiled, “I think it would be safer to keep him bound for the moment, don't you?”

Elijah slowly nodded, “Perhaps you are correct. Now, how are you going to remove the Hollow?”

“I'll take him to some associates that will perform a ritual, and that's it. I'm sure you'd like to come along?”

“Yes, of course,” Elijah answered.
