Cass and Elijah returned to Gringotts to see how Klaus was doing. They walked into Axeblood's office and sat down at his invitation. Elijah was on pins and needles to find out if the ritual was a success.

“Yes, Mr. Mikaelson, the ritual worked, though we are having a hard time convincing your brother we mean him no harm. I'm almost tempted to stun him again to shut him up. Perhaps now would be a good time for you to speak with him.”

Axeblood led Elijah to the healing room where Klaus was. The Hybrid was angry and snarling at the Goblins observing him through the observation window. Klaus had tried several times to break down the door, but his Hybrid strength was no match for the Goblin's magic, and they had no intention of letting him out until he calmed down.

Klaus would never admit it, but for the first time in one thousand years, he felt weak and drained. Suddenly, a voice came out of the speaker, “Mr. Mikaelson, it's futile for you to try to escape. If you do not calm down, we will keep you there until you do.”

Klaus looked up at the strange creatures and growled, showing his Hybrid face. The Goblins were not impressed. At that moment, Elijah arrived with Cass following him; he looked into the healing room and watched his brother pace like a caged animal.

The Goblin healer looked at Elijah, “If your brother keeps this up, he's going to drain himself of what little strength he has.”

Elijah looked at the healer, “What do you mean?”

“Mr. Mikaelson may look alright, but removing the Hollow from him took a lot out of him, and the lack of blood is not helping. Perhaps you can convince him that we mean him no harm.”

Elijah looked down at Klaus and finally noticed that Klaus was beginning to tire. Elijah nodded and took several blood bags from the Goblins to take to Klaus. The healer explained that the blood bags contained Dragon's blood. Elijah looked at her, stunned.

“Dragons are real?” He asked, looking at Cass for an answer.

She smiled at him, “Yes, of course, but they are on reserves, so they do not roam around.”

Elijah nodded, “Why dragon's blood?” Elijah questioned.

“Dragon's blood will help your brother regain his strength faster, and it's more nutritious than human blood,” The healer explained. “We only use it for vampires that have been greatly weakened, like your brother.”

Elijah nodded and asked the Goblins to open the door. As soon as the door opened, Klaus ran for it but was thrown back by an invisible barrier. He snarled, but when Elijah walked in, Klaus calmed down.

Once the door was closed, Klaus had Elijah pinned to the wall and was squeezing his throat. Elijah instantly noticed that Klaus, indeed, was significantly weaker. Elijah quickly shoved Klaus away. The Hybrid stumbled back and glared at his brother, “So this is how it is, brother? You betray me and side with this witch?”

Elijah sighed, “No, brother, everything has been explained to me. Lady Black was only trying to help, and if you were paying attention, you would have noticed that you are no longer possessed.”

Klaus looked at his brother, stunned when he realized that, yes, he was no longer possessed. It was at that moment that Elijah explained precisely what had happened and offered his brother a blood bag. Klaus eyed it suspiciously, but he was so weak and thirsty that he accepted the blood bag.
