Episode 17 Part 1

I'm mainly going to focus on character development this episode

10:00 AM, Monday, the next day.

Carm woke up in a medical bed.

"Agh..... what happened?" He said, his lips and throat felt horribly dry.

"You were out for a while,

You seem to be healthy, but we wanted to take you here just in case." She said, in Japanese of course.

The medical facility was heavily advanced, with screens everywhere.

He was out of the 1940s, that's for sure.

Even though he changed the past, the present seemed to be the exact same as he left it,

So, the weird smoke, teleportation thing dragged him to an alternate universe that is completely separate from his?

Probably so.

"Where am I?" Was the next question he asked,

"This is a hospital just off of the Self Defense Force maneuver grounds, on Fiji.

It's where the final match is going to take place,"

"Is?" Carm said, hoping he hadn't traveled to the past.

"It got delayed by a week as they review your tank's recorder footage. We're still waiting for it to be released"

"Well I hope they like war movies....." Carm said under his breath

"Hm?" The nurse asked.

"You'll find out when the footage is released..." Carm said.

The hospital was a huge place, Carm wondered where the rest of his crew was.

Just then, he received a call on his phone,

It was his parents.

He answered without a second thought.

"Hello?" He said into the phone

"Yeah it's me,"

"Don't worry, I'm fine.... Just a little shaken up is all...." He said

A few hours earlier, in the morning

Miho Nishizumi, captain of Ōarai's Sensha-dō team,

as well as her sister Maho Nishizumi, who was captain of Kuromorimine's Sensha-dō team,

arrived at the theater where representatives of both Ōarai, Kuromorimine, and the Japanese ground self defense force. (And perhaps a little bit of US Army) were seated,

Even Yukari's own parents were there.

The were there to review King Cobra team's match recorder footage.

Each tank had one, and it was meant to monitor the status of the tank, as well as crew chatter.

It was meant to catch cheaters, but now, it will serve a much more useful,

And haunting purpose......
