A thump echoes as the person lands, luckily on his feet ... not on his face. The full moon barely giving of any light or warmth, unlike the midday sun.
Three other thumps followed, landing next to the first one. The four were chasing a serpentine, who at the moment stumbled face face into the damp ground.
The snake was cornered with no where to run "Going somewhere?" The one in the black gi asked smugly, before pointing his sharpened, golden scythe directly to the serpentine's neck.
He whimpered as the others also held him at weapon-point "Thought you could joyride through town and not be noticed, eh? Where's the last Fangblade?" This time the cerulean one questioned, they needed to get at least some information from him.
"I don't know what you're talking about" The snake dismissed, his head turned to the left avoiding eye-contact with the ninja. In his sited position he also crossed his arms trying to seem less approachable.
"You know what it is. The fourth Fangblade. When Pythor finds them all, he plans to unleash the Great Devourer" Pressed the fiery one, annoyed at the serpentines uncooperation.
"Oh, that Fangblade. Haha, you're too late. Pythor's already there now. He's probably already digging it up. If I were you, I'd start preparing for the worst, because when the Great Devourer is awakened, there will be nothing it won't consume!" He let out a laugh following the end of his sentence.
"Won't that mean it'll consume you too?" Said the white one, matter-of-factly.
It looked like although he knew what the devourer would consume, he didn't take into consideration that it would be him as well.
"Ah! Please, you have to stop him. That snake is crazy. I don't wanna unleash the Great Devourer. I'm a snake, not food!" He pleaded frantically.
"Is it really too late to stop Pythor from getting the last Fangblade?" The red ninja questioned again, they were determined to stop the awakening of the devourer. Not on their watch.
"You're days behind him. There's gotta be something else you can do!"
