You couldn't keep your eyes off the window, staring both in impatience and slight nervousness, awaiting the announcement of the next round.
Tensions were high now that everyone was stuck in a compartment, glares were shot left and right. Not paying any attention to the human idiots, you nearly jumped out of your skin when you felt a hand tapping your shoulder. Your eyes snapped to Lloyd, tilting your head as you raised a brow.
The blond looked out of the window, the same as you had moments prior, before speaking, "What do you think we'll be doing here?" He questioned. You shrugged, no one knew and you couldn't be bothered to come up with something, in utter boredom, you went back to glancing out the window. This time with Lloyd doing the same.
"What are you looking at, Zippy?" You turned away from the glass after hearing Jay's remark, he was glaring back sharply at the master of speed, who had his arms folded as he sat lazily on his seat. "The next one out of the Tournament." Griffen barked back.
Jay grunted in response, rolling his eyes. The air was thick, so much so someone could easily cut it with a blade. "Why so scared to show us your back, Shadow? Worried we're gonna find a tattoo and know you're working for Chen?" Leaning forward and raising a brow, as he sneered at the said elemental.
"I hope this next fight is between you and me, because I'm gonna put you on your back." Snarled Shadow.
A whistle filled your ears, it was the invisible human, Skylor clicked her tongue in disgust, "Do you mind?" She turned her head away from the guy.
You ran a hand through your hair with a sigh, it was unbearable to sit here along with these people — not the ninja, just the others. The urge to just jump out of this flying vehicle to your untimely death was hard to ignore. "Tensions are high." Garmadon spoke, looking to his right and at Lloyd.
"As if we don't know that already." Those words earned you a look from the former warlord, which you avoided, eyes set firmly at the circular window. "Yeah, not as high as we are now. Can hardly see the island from up here." Replied Lloyd.
Shadows footsteps echoed as he rushed to the control room. "I've had enough of this. I can't stand heights." He breathed anxiously, opening the door. It took you all by surprise, when no one was inside, "Where's Chen?" The master of shadow groaned.
A screen turned on, showing Chen's face. You couldn't help but think about how you preferred the black screen over him. "How do I know if this thing's on? Oh, oh, oh, I see, the light. Oh, oh, I'm on? Right now?" Chen thought aloud, stepping back from the screen, he cleared his throat. "Ahem, ahem. Hello, final nine. I see you are all eager for the tournament to commence so one of you can win my Staff of Elements. Instead of fighting for a Jadeblade, today you will be fighting for something different."
