Your eyes softened at the sigh of your teammates cheering, not seeing them as ling as you did made bittersweet emotions arise in you. Both your and Lloyd's golden power froze the robots in place and surrounded the now teachers.
The golden and purple dragon let out a roar, most likely as a greeting before disappearing in a cloud of mist. You landed on the ground with a barely audible thump, your golden gi sparkling in the moonlight, soon enough your also golden friend jumped down next to you.
"Robots versus ninja? Heh. Dare I ask?" Snickered Lloyd, his hands on his hips as he leaned forward ever so slightly, you smiled warmly under your mask while the team cheered and run up to you two, embracing you in a fuzzy, familiar bear-hug. "Missed us, huh?" You remarked softly, happy to be here.
"You two are a sight for sore eyes!"
On your side stood Cole and Jay, you felt red-head nod as he was the closest of the two. The sappy moment didn't last long, since the Overlord decided to show his face.. From a screen, coward.
"So you couldn't help yourself. The Golden Ninja, we meet again." His cunning, weak voice spoke, the fiery red eyes of the Overlord showing up on large screens, which filled new ninjago city.
Lloyd took a couple steps forward making you stride closer to him in a protective manner, even though you knew he could hurt any of your friends here. "Overlord. We defeated you once, we'll defeat you again." Your green eyed friend told the Overlord sternly, Lloyd's eyes narrowed glaring at one of the many screens. You hummed in agreement, declaring, "Even at your strongest, we'll beat you."
"Oh." He dragged out tauntingly, voice turning dark in seconds, "I don't want to fight. I just want your power" He laughed manically, the robots surrounding you all started twitching, red lights now turning green while their movements at the time were painfully slow.
You activated your power, allowing it to surge through you, as you And Lloyd got ready to stop the robots again. Wu's bamboo staff fell in front of you both making you stop in your tracks. "No. Lloyd, [Name], your powers are only making them stronger." Lloyd sent you the look at his uncle's words, you deactivated your power with a pained wince.
"But how do we fight?" Lloyd asked, head tilting in question, "We don't." Kai retorted, hand clenching into a fist as the robots neared. "We need to get you two and the Techno Blades out of the city."
"The what now?" The only thing you received were glares, not the right time. "I don't think he'll let us leave." Cole announced matter-of-factly.
