Where am I?

Last night I went to sleep. The usual. I got into my favorite pj's, made a nice cup of tea, and settled in under my blankets. I drifted off to sleep, ready to wake up for school like I always do, but that didn't happen.
I woke to a biting cold on my skin. I lay on the ground dazed and confused.
"Where the hell am I?"
I pushed myself upright, sitting in the snow, completely alone.
Or so I thought.
The light reflecting off of the snow temporarily blinded me. After my eyes adjusted to the white light, I managed to use an icy rock to push myself to a standing position. I pulled my hoodie tight around me, stuffing my hands inside my sleeve. I was freezing. I noticed a large building ahead of me. I slowly made my way toward the building. A wave of relief fell over me as I heard the sound of a crackling fire inside. I knelt down on the floor, putting my hands out near the flame in hopes to warm them. I had completely forgotten where I was, the frostbite taking over my attention. My ears suddenly rang with a blood-curdling scream as I fell backward onto the floor. I quickly did a surveillance of my surroundings and saw nothing. I stood to my feet feeling my adrenaline rushing, and what seemed to be a loud heartbeat forming uncontrollably in my head. I took cover behind a nearby couch, too afraid to leave the building. I shut my eyes as I felt myself begin to cry, "Where am I? What do I do?" I thought to myself. I opened my eyes, feeling my tears turn icy against my lashes. I gathered my composure the best I could and got to my feet. Someone's hurt out there, I need to find them... I don't know if someone else can. I took a deep breath and slowly crept out of the house. As I was about to take my first step out into the snow, I felt a vicious tug on my hood. The force caused me to completely lose balance and fall backward. I didn't hit the ground, I stayed slightly suspended as I looked up, shaking.
I was greeted by a tall man, with a white mask and a terrifyingly wide smile etched on it. My legs started to move on their own. I planted my feet firmly on the ground using all of my force to pull myself away. I finally felt the resistance give way when I pulled my arms in and slipped out of my hoodie. I bolted as far forward as I could. I could not stop shaking. Between the fear and the snow, I felt my bones being rattled inside me. I ran until I felt like my legs were going to give out. In the distance, I saw a woman waving at me to come her way, so I kept going until I reached her. She seemed horribly injured. She held her side as blood dripped from between her fingers. At that moment I heard a voice in my head, "Patch her up, it's your only chance."
"What can I do to help, I don't know anything about first aid I'm sorry I don't know what to do." I stammered as I held my head in frustration and fear.
"You can do it, just follow your instinct." The woman grunted in pain.
I reached over to her and began to touch her wounded area carefully. Before I know it, I heard that voice again. It sounded shrill, but like it was trying to help me.
"Keep doing it, it's working".
I had no idea what I was doing, but slowly I noticed her wound starting to close.
"Are you okay?" I asked her.
"Yes, now get on a generator while I find Bill."
"Get on a generator? I asked confused.
"Just do it, it's the only way we can get the hell out of here". She sprinted off, leaving me more confused than when I got here in the first place. I then remembered back to when I was near the fire, there was this large machine with lights on it, could that be what she was talking about?
I made my way back to where I was. I was hesitant, what if that man was still there? No, I have to do it, she said it's our only chance, I have to.
I approached the generator, not quite sure how I should fix this thing. I knelt down beside it, trying to look at the wires. The voice came again,
"You know what you're doing, now do it."
Reluctantly, I began messing with the wires inside. I saw little sparks and hoped I was doing it correctly. After a few seconds, one of the pistons began to move. I couldn't believe this was working, how did I know how to do this? I continued connecting wires until eventually the lights blinked on and showed brightly. That was when I heard another scream.
The scream sounded like it was from a man.
"How many other people are here with me?" I thought to myself. I stepped outside of the large building again, this time, feeling that cold bite of winter.
"Shit, I don't even have my hoodie anymore."
Shaking off the cold the best I could, I continued on through the winds whipping my body. I heard cries and groans from what sounded like the same man who had screamed. I ran to his side and tried to help him.
"Get out, just get out." He said struggling
"I can't you need help, I can try and help you." I pleaded with him.
"Leave, everyone else is dead."
Those words struck me, I was mixed with confusion, fear, and hopelessness. I tried to help him against his wishes, and that's when the deafening heartbeat began again. I turned around to see the masked man again. Standing with his knife gripped tightly in his hand, dripping with fresh blood. My brain sent mixed signals, I had no idea whether to fight or flight. Before I could comprehend what happened, I felt a warm sensation in my side... no, it was burning.
I felt my breathing grow to a struggle. I feel like I blinked, it all happened in a split second. I looked down to see a knife plunged into my side, with the attacker's hand still gripped on the hilt. I looked straight ahead and saw the same mask directly in front of my face. Through that mask, I saw the holes in the eyes, where I looked at him directly. I felt my body go limp, as I slumped to the ground.
The injured man on the ground screamed,
"The entity hasn't given her the full pain reduction yet! Stop!"
There was a hand on the back of my head holding me upright. I felt it release as I slumped onto the ground, the weapon still gripping my insides. I looked up with blurry vision, to the masked man standing above me. The voice returned,
"Get up, save them."
With my last bit of energy, I stood, defying what I thought my body could do. I ripped the knife out of myself, screaming in agony as I felt my blood emptying my body. I stood, knife in hand, and extended my hand across Bill. I stood, hunched in pain, between Bill, and this killer.
The man cocked his head at me, almost amused at my action. That's when it finally went dark.
I awoke still in the same icy wasteland, however, something was different. I was wearing my hoodie again. I sat up and winced in pain. My side was still badly injured but had been wrapped up with gauze and medical tape. I heard a strange lull noise, almost like an angel's choir. My eyes fell upon this large rusty door that had been left open. Inside there was this black mist, that almost felt... safe? I crawled my way toward it, being careful not to rupture my wound. I looked down into the void, the shrill voice came back into my head.
"You're safe now. Leave."
I pulled myself into the hole and again entered a headspace of nothingness.
