The Next Day / with Emu and Rui

It was late into the day and Emu had gotten ready, it was around 5:12 P.M when she headed downstairs, she was excited to be seeing Rui, maybe they could come up with a way to get the group back together. Rui was always the intuitive one of the group, he always came up with solutions to problems quickly, though, those problems were all related to the plot of a play or an issue with a machine he created, he wasn't the best at solving issues with people. But that didn't bother Emu, she was so excited that she basically jumped down the stairs. She got her shoes on and had some food before leaving, stashing a few candy bars in her pink bag before leaving, the rain had cleared up a few hours earlier and the sun had finally shown after hours and hours of rain, the cool air and mist made Emu feel relaxed as she walked down the sidewalk. Making her way to the secret entrance to the wonderstage, the walked through the greenery and made it to the stage, it was the same as they had left it 2 days ago. The seats were covered in dew and leftover wrappers and food from the show were scattered on the floor, now stuck on the ground due to the rain. The stage was no different than it was before, other than the color being slightly faded due to the rain, Emu sat her stuff down on the part of the stage that wasn't wet and sat down, it was only 5:42 P.M, so she had plenty of time to wait, surprisingly, she got a text message. She opened her messages, it was Nene?

Nene♡• :; Hi emu

EmuOtori>O< :; Nene!!! HII

Nene♡• :; Where r u

EmuOtori>O< :; at the wonderstage (^O^)

Nene♡• :; oh okay, why

EmuOtori>O< :; I'm hanging out with Rui!! He's supposed to arrive soon •♡•

Nene♡• :; oh okay, bye

EmuOtori>O< :; Okayyy byeee

Emu smiled, her day was getting better and better, she giggled happily, Nene was talking to her! She waited happily for Rui to show up, around 5:50 P.M, she heard footsteps, she hopped off the stage and went to see who it was, she expected it to be Rui, but it wasn't.

"Hi, Emu..."

Emu gasped, it was Nene. She looked like she had woken up minutes prior to arriving, her face flushed when she noticed Emu staring at her "Nene! What are you doing here?" Emu asked, she felt like she was flying

"I just wanted to see you" Nene stuttered, feeling embarrassed to arrive randomly "I'm- I'm sorry for yelling at you. I was just really angry and-" Before she could finish, Emu wrapped her arms around Nene, hugging her tightly "Nene! I missed you so much!"

"Emu-you're suffocating me-"

Emu quickly let go of her, almost jumping with excitement "I'm sorry, I'm just so happy to see you! I thought you hated me!"

"I could never hate you..." Nene mumbled, quickly looking away when Emu stared at her confused, "a-anyways, I should go now-" She turned away to leave but was stopped by a hand grabbing her wrist, Nene turned to Emu

"Please stay, I want to hang out with you again, please?"

Nene sighed, how could she say no to her? "Okay..."
