Third-person POV:
Zainab was sitting on the bench with her bags. She had called an uber to help her carry her stuff to her flat. She had left the train. She kept thinking about how everything ended so peacefully. She was expecting her parents to stop her or yell at her for being a bad and ungrateful daughter but nothing like that happened. Once she told them she was leaving, instead of getting angry or worried all they said was she should never contact them and leave as soon as possible. (What was she even expecting?)

Earlier that day:
"I have decided that I'm going to leave and settle somewhere far. I don't think I have to tell you how much of bad parents you guys have been and how much of a jerk is your son but yeah let me tell you one thing, whether your plan succeeds or not you all are going to regret treating me like this. I'll wait for the judgment day when Allah Will justify me and yes I will never forgive any of you. Allah Hafiz(goodbye)". Zainab said what she wanted to say. Her brother was busy using her phone and her mother was calculating expenses for the wedding. Her father raised his eyes from his phone and spoke " Good. Now leave. Remember don't ever call us for money or anything. To be exact don't contact us at all." and continued to use his phone.
She quickly carried her bags and proceeded towards the station. She thought before her family changes their mind and something happens she should leave as soon as she can.
Once she settled in her seat she took a breath of relief. She was super proud of herself. Finally, she got rid of her family. Their behavior was weird when she spoke to them. They were always ignorant but this didn't seem like a 'goodbye forever to her. She was having this feeling that soon she will see them again but she brushed the bad thought aside. Even the mere thought of seeing her family again sent shivers down her spine and made her cringe. She was out of that house and now all she knew was she was not going back.
Due to COVID-19, fewer passengers were traveling and all she knew was she was sharing her seat with one other passenger as they had already left their luggage to clear the possession of their side of the seat. Zainab was not carrying much luggage as she left lots of stupid stuff back at home like heavy dresses and jewelry which her mother gave her to look pretty and attract men at events. She always found them unnecessary.
She is so happy and thankful to her Dado (grandmother) who had left some money for her which she used to purchase a flat and the rest she was going to use for buying necessary stuff. She was going to buy furniture and other stuff. She had a lot to do. Trying to relax for now she closed her eyes. A few minutes passed then came the passenger sitting opposite her and her eyes opened making her alert of the guy's existence. She might act strong but in reality, she was scared of traveling alone. The guy understood what she was thinking and while smiling he said " I'm also traveling alone for the first time. I'm nervous too. Don't worry I'm not a bad guy."
Faris's POV:
I know my parents were hurt but I had to tell them. I know this is going to result in something positive In shaa Allah (if Allah Wills) so I have no regrets. But the look in their eyes makes me keep thinking about them. I should've told them a few days before so that they could at least be prepared but I fucked up and now there is no way back. Huff, maybe I should buy something to eat before the train starts moving and stop thinking about it, Faris! What's done is done and has happened for good.
Faris's conversation with his parents:
Third-person POV:He was nervous but he knew he had to do this. He brought his bags downstairs. His parents were sitting in the TV lounge. They saw him carrying these bags. "Are you going on a trip with your friends?" His father asked.
"No, I'm moving out," Faris replied.
"what do you mean by moving out?" his father asked raising an eyebrow.
"I won't be living here anymore with you guys. I'm twenty-eight and now I need to learn how to deal with my problems. I got a job and you guys suggested I should give up and join our family business but I'm sorry I can't do that. I have my dreams and my wishes and things that I want to do. I don't know if it's right to say this or not but I don't feel happy living like this." he completed.
"Shut up Faris and take your stuff up. Stop with this nonsense and don't even think I will let this prank slide." his mother added.
"No mom I'm super serious right now," he said.
His parents drew their attention back to what they were doing. Faris was pissed.
"I'M DEAD SERIOUS RIGHT NOW! I DON'T WANT TO HURT YOU GUYS BUT YES I HAVE LOST MY PEACE IN THIS HOUSE. THE WAY YOU GUYS HAVE LIVED THIS WHOLE TIME AND RAISED ME, IN THE SAME WAY, IS SO ANNOYING. I WANT A NORMAL PEACEFUL LIFE LIKE ALL THE PRACTICING MUSLIMS. THERE IS NO PROPER FLOW OF HOW WE LIVE. IF YOU GUYS THINK KEEPING ME HERE WITH YOU FOREVER WILL GROOM ME LIKE YOU AND MOM, I'M SORRY I DON'T WANT TO BE LIKE YOU GUYS." He said what he was keeping in for so long. This was the first time he ever spoke like this to his parents. Immediately his parents gave him their full attention because they were shocked at how their son reacted. They knew he was not joking at all.
"But my son who is stopping you from practicing your religion? You can do that freely. And as far as the job is concerned, you could have told me earlier that you wanted to do it. You can get a job here too." his father complained.
"No Dad. I need some space. I won't be living with you guys forever. Once I get married I will buy a separate house as you did for your family. And other than that you guys have spoiled me way too much. I need to face the world outside. I need to do it for my future family. I'm sorry I know I was being rude but please don't stop me. It's not that I won't be contacting you guys or what. I will call you guys every day. I'm sorry for doing this but this is happening for the best. You guys are living your lives for this world but I wish to live it for my end (the afterlife). Im not questioning your faith but I indeed want heaven. I want to enter it with you guys and my wife and kids. I know you guys love me and being the only child you both have loved me more than anything but our family lacks emotions. There is no understanding, no love, and no conscience. I want to change it. I love you both." He listed the things he noticed were happening wrong in his family. From them spoiling him, to lack of knowledge of religion to no understanding between his parents he said all he wanted to. Once he was done he started to lift his bags. His parents were shocked. They were trying to process what their son had just said. And slowly they started to think about why he might be thinking like that and slowly the picture in their minds started to become clear. Before he left they both nodded in agreement and her mother spoke.
"Wait, Faris. I know we need to make a few things clear but maybe you leaving right now is the best option. We are sorry for being so selfish and not thinking about you. We knew that one day you will leave eventually but maybe that came too early. We will try to understand you and your point of view. We respect your decision but please don't hate us for what we have done. We love you more than anything." his mother spoke. They were hurt and he knew that.
"I will never hate you guys. It's just my views are different from yours and I want to grow up now. I will always love you both no matter what." saying this he left without turning around because a hug was just not what her parents had ever tried doing. Another reason which made him realize he had made the right decision.
