Chapter 10

" I knew it! See I told you. I was super sure. You guys had a thing for each other. Thanks to me you found out your true feelings. Now you have no right to be angry at me." Shaheer said.

"Whatever. Now tell me what should I do next? I cannot stop myself from thinking about her. Ok first, I'm going to balance things at home. After that will I think about this because for now, I think I need to know more about her." Faris replied.

"Aleena stop teasing me. I swear I will never talk to you ever, if you mention that table incident again" Said Zainab.

"oh, no way am I letting this go. You are so stupid. What were you thinking? Hiding under the table? Which star plus drama are we talking about? I can agree the most with Sir Shaheer. I would have reacted in the same way too. I would have said the same things he said to you but he is a lot more mature than I am. He said it respectfully and controlled his laugh. If I was in his place I would've laughed so hard. 🤣" Aleena replied.

"Ufff..... Enough. Don't annoy me. Keeping this aside tell me what should I do? How can I stop myself from liking him?"

"WHY WOULD YOU STOP LIKING HIM? It's not a crime."

"I'm a divorced woman. He is single. No way will he like me knowing that. Even though he is aware."

"He does? So you already told him? And he still asked for your number and that while blushing and being all nervous? Of course, he doesn't care about that at all. Otherwise, why would he come all the way to your department to tell you this that he didn't tell Sir Shaheer about that convo you had with him?"

"Ugh, I don't know. All I know is we are not a match at all." Zainab said frustrated.

Faris POV:

She likes me too. Or at least she turned pink when I was near her. She bumped into my chest. Since I'm 5'11 she must be 5'2 I guess. What am I thinking?🤦🏽 She has light brown skin. (I always liked brown skin colour more than light skin cause mine is light and I always wanted to get tanned but now I'm very thankful for the way I look because this is who I'm and I cannot change myself). Faris focus. You are taking a class. She is two weeks younger than me. I found out when I got her personal information through Shaheer. I'm not a stalker. It's just that I was curious about her birth date. What might be her favorite colour? Like if I wish to give her a present like a dress or something what colour would she want? *Sighs* stop thinking about her Faris or you are going to carve her name in your heart.

Third-person POV:

Translation: (been in love for the first time, I don't understand what should I do

Shaheer was teasing Faris. "Shut up! You wanna get slapped or what? What kind off friend are you? I can't believe you were once my inspiration." Faris was having lunch with him.

Few minutes passed in silence. Suddenly Shaheer cleared his throat and sang "Hale Dil Tujhko Sunata Dil Agar
Ye Bol Pata Bakhuda
Tujhko Hai Chahta.." Song by Harshit Saxena from movie murder 2 (2011)

Translation: (I would have told you the condition of my heart, if only it could speak, I swear it only wants you...)

Faris followed his gaze. He was looking at Zainab and her friend. He took a handful of fries from his plate and forced it into Shaheer's mouth. He is so embarrassing. Faris thought.

"Tere Sang Jo Pal Bitati
Waqt Se Mai Wo Mang Lati
Yad Karke Mushkurati..." Aleena continued.

Translation: (the moments spent with you, I would ask time to give them to me, I would smile remembering them...)

Zainab and Faris looked at Aleena in shock. She was angry at Faris's friend being immature and now her own friend was making her feel uncomfortable. She and Faris mutually nodded their heads in agreement and left cafeteria. They were both equally ashamed of their friends.

Once they both stopped laughing. Aleena and Shaheer faced an awkward silence between them but the moment their eyes met, they burst into laughter again.
