Flowers & Tea - Brance

Chapter 3

(Time skip to when they arrive at the restaurant)

Vance opened the door for Bruce. He smiled and gestured for him to head inside. Bruce chuckled and went on in. Vance liked the shorter boy's smile; it was like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day.

Bruce noticed Vance was still holding the door for some people so he decided to wait for him. Vance looked annoyed at holding the door for others. After 2 minutes of waiting for Vance, he came over.

"Let's go grab a table now I'm hungry." Vance groaned out with a tone of annoyance in there. Bruce nodded and led them to an empty booth. They sat down and Bruce grabbed a menu for him and then handed one to Vance. Vance noticed a waiter coming over to their table.

"Hello I'm Billy and I'll be your waiter today. What would you like to drink today?" Billy asked in a sweet tone. Bruce quickly checked what they had; he hoped they still selled strawberry crush; he instantly noticed it on the drink menu area.

"I'll take the strawberry crush please," Bruce said. He glanced over at Vance who looked confused. He got worried for him.

"Hey, you ok Vance?" Bruce whispered to Vance hoping he was alright.

"No, I can't find the drinks," Vance whispered back to Bruce, slightly embarrassed.

"Last page bottom left corner," Bruce whispered back. Vance instantly looked and there they were he searched debating on what to get. He finally picked a second later.

"I'll take the orange crush plz. Sorry for the wait." Vance said to Billy. Billy wrote it down and smiled.

"It's alright sir, I'm used to it. I'll be right back with your guys' drinks." Billy exclaimed then turned around to leave. Vance turned red with embarrassment.

"Do you not do well with ordering Vance?" Bruce asked. Vance nodded and was still embarrassed.

"Want me to order for you?" Bruce questioned Vance. Hoping to get an answer.

"Yes please, it would mean so much to me," Vance spoke out. Bruce smiled at him.

"What do you want? I normally get salmon nigiri and tuna nigiri. I highly recommend the shrimp tempura hand roll." Bruce looked at Vance who looked like a confused puppy.

"I'll take whatever you recommend. I never know what to get." Vance said in an embarrassed tone. Bruce smiled at him and then chuckled. Vance saw Billy walking towards their table.

"Hello, I'm back with your drinks! Are you ready to order?" Billy asked them as he set the drinks down on the table.

"Yes, we are. I'll take the salmon nigiri and tuna nigiri and he'll take the shrimp tempura hand roll plz." Bruce said smiling. Billy quickly wrote it down.

"I'll be back quickly with your food," Billy said as he walked away. Bruce turned and saw Vance just staring at him. He looked zoned out so Bruce started waving his hand in front of his face.

"Vance, are you good?" Bruce questioned him. All of a sudden Vance snapped back to reality almost instantly at the sound of Bruce's voice.

"Yea, sorry I must've zoned out due to being busy a lot today," Vance said. Vance looked off to the side awkwardly.

"I ordered our food so it should be here in the next twenty to thirty minutes," Bruce exclaimed. Vance nodded his head but once he heard the waiting time he snapped his head straight at Bruce's giving him bug eyes practically.

"Twenty to thirty minutes! That's so long and  I'm starving." Vance groaned out in an annoyed tone. Bruce let out a little soft chuckle and then burst out in laughter.

"It's not funny I'm starving right now and you're laughing at my misery." Vance groaned out. Bruce couldn't help but continue to laugh at him and then all of a sudden Bruce realized he had laughed too much because all of a sudden he started to hiccup. He knew he was a guy who caught hiccups easily so he instantly regretted laughing too much.

"Do you have the hiccups!" Vance blurted out. He started laughing at Bruce in misery due to his hiccups.

"Yea!" Bruce yelled and then had another hiccup come after that. Vance all of a sudden saw Billy approaching with their food. Vance smiled widely. Bruce thought he was about to eat that thing whole like it was his last meal alive.

"Here is your guy's food," Billy said, placing the plates down on the table. Billy let out a smile and nodded.

"Thank you," Bruce said as a hiccup escaped his mouth again. Billy smiled and walked off again leaving the two alone. Bruce took sips of his soda hoping it would help with his hiccups.

"How do you use these!" Vance groaned out towards bruce. Bruce looked up to see him struggling with the chopsticks. Bruce showed him how and Vance finally got the hang of it and started eating like a wild man. Bruce started stuffing his face too.

"Is that good?" Vance asked him, looking concerned. Bruce looked up with his cheeks looking like bunny rabbits cheeks. Vance laughed looking at him but couldn't help whenever he saw Bruce. He acted like a little bunny rabbit who's happy all the time.

(Timeskip to when they finished their food)

Bruce smiled at Vance who told him about how good it was. He smiled even wider at the thought that he liked this place. Billy walked on up by them and asked if they wanted their bill.

"Yes please, that would be wonderful," Bruce spoke out. Billy nodded and walked away. He came back shortly after and then he placed the bill on the table and then left again. Bruce offered to pay but Vance wouldn't let that happen. They argued for 3 minutes straight over who was paying. Vance won eventually and paid for their meals. Bruce glared at him.
"Let's head out now," Bruce said to him. Bruce headed to the door and held it open for Vance. Vance said thank you and the two carried on.

Sorry, this is coming out so much later than usual I have been busy with school the past two days hope you don't mind.

Also, Bruce's easy hiccup thing is based on me. I catch them so easily. I base Bruce mainly on me due to him being my second-highest kin.
