After little miss stick in the ass left me in the ally I fell to my knees trying to catch my breath, her kick to my chest hit me hard and made it harder for me breathe.

"Cmon gus you'll be fine" a familiar voice said and I looked up to see the same girl and guy.

The girl escorted the guy who's been hit harder than I have.

I stood up and came out the ally and waved "h-hey" my voice croaked as I waved to the two.

"You're the girl who helped us?" the girl asked "yeah, I'm Luz.. sorry I didn't come sooner your friend here took more of a beating than I did" I said trying to come off a bit cool..ish

"Oh yeah gus here is pretty hurt I'm taking him to the healers, I'm Willow by the way" Willow nodded with a soft smile
"Hey can you take me too? I took a beating as well from miss purple stick in the mud" I chuckled. "Yeah of course you helped us, just come with us luz" gus smiled at me.
"Awesome now let's hurry before I die yeah?" I said jokingly "sure" Willow smiled.

I think my joke slid completely off their heads..

Later

Willow, Gus and I arrived to a healer and we got patched up. It was like magic they just put their hand on my chest and everything felt better.. what the hell is going on creatures, magic and a whole new location.. I don't think I'm in California no more..

"Feeling better you two?" Willow asked me and gus I gave her a nod and gus replied "much better thank you, and thank you luz for trying to help I mean it wasn't enough but I appreciate the effort" gus smiled
"Ouch didn't have to be blunt about it" I said putting my hand to my chest "oh sorry about him he's not the greatest at.. not being blunt about things" Willow said awkwardly "oh okay, well I could hopefully help with it.. if I even remember to do so.." I put my hands into the jacket's pockets

"So are you new here? I've never seen your face before and those ears oh they're so round" Gus said clinging onto my shoulders touching my ears "yeah I'm new.. just came yesterday today Is my first day out.. and I was told not to return home until I get a friend and whatnot.." I shrugged trying to get gus off me.

"Oh we can be your friends! We do owe you for helping us!" Willow happily said bouncing up and down clapping her hands with joy "I'd be happy to be your friend and you too gus" I smiled.

Gus finally let me be and went to Willow's side "so where are you from?" Willow questioned. "Oh I'm from the human world.. realm? Wherever the humans are I'm from there" I answered with a second doubt in my mind wondering where I exactly was..

"Luz the human!" Gus cheered "is he?" I asked raising a finger up "yup he is.." Willow nodded answering my question before as if she knew what I was trying to say.

"She felt bad for me when we were little and she became my only friend and took me under her wing.. but now I have you as my other friend!" Gus smiled happily.

I let out a soft chuckle "yeah gus it's what friends are for taking care of each other" I said going over to him and giving him a gentle hug.

"It was nice meeting you luz we'll maybe see you tomorrow?" Willow asked tilting her head "yeah of course? Right here at noon?" I suggested "sure sounds good with me, cmon gus let's get home before your dads get worried about you im not gonna be the one who tells them you got your ass kicked" Willow took Gus's hand and took him home "bye Luz!" The two said as they left my sight.
