The next morning most of the guys headed to the docks, and Jade, Axel and Decker stayed behind with Samantha.

"How are you feeling?" Jade asked her handing her a piece of bread, then set down beside her.

"I'm fine." Samantha whispered. Jade looked at her but said nothing, the look she shared with the guys told her they believed her as much as she did.

She wasn't fine, not  even a little bit, her world had been turned up side down in less then 24 hours, and no one would be fine after that.

"Alright I have to run to Manhattan, then ill be back, Axel is going to stay with you, then in a couple of house, Talon will come back so Axel can get some work in today."

Samantha nodded as Jade stood.

"You don't have to leave anyone here with me ill be alright on my own." Jade shook her head.

"Your under Brooklyn's protection now and we look after our own."

Jade  shot Axel a look and Decker and her left the lodging house.

Ones out of the Lodging house and half way to the docks Decker turned to Jade a hand going to her shoulder.

"Jade what are we going to see Edge for?"

"We ant we are going to find out a few things about Samantha, we don't know her that well and we need to see what we are up against."

"You don't trust her, not to bring trouble?"

"You got it and before we look after anyone else we have to make sure Brooklyn is looked after first, with  everything else on our plates right now we cant be to careful."

The two Brooklyn teens headed for the neighborhood that they had dropped Samantha off at a little over a week ago.

Back at the lodging house Axel set on his bunk fixing a couple of sling shots that had broken.

He snuck glances Samantha's way, but they set in silence.

Samantha had found a book that set in a small bookcase so she had been reading it for the last couple of hours.

At one point she stood and made her way over to the window, her back to Axel.

He stood making his way over to her and stood behind her and to her right.

His hands in his pockets and a small frown on his handsome face.

"Samantha?"

Samantha turned to look at him over her shoulder.

He looked like he wonted to ask her something but wasn't sure how to ask.

"What is it Axel?" She asked him softly.

"Why would your father force you to marry someone you don't know?"

"I don't know I simply know that he and his business partner wonts to tie our family's together, to make our family's more powerful."

"And how would that happen by making you marry?"

She could see the wheels turning as he worked throw his thoughts. She didn't know how much she should tell him, what would he think, how would he react.

Worse how would Jade act if she found out who her father really was, and how he was connected to the mafia. At that moment Talon walked in ending there conversation.

"Am here to relief you of duty my friend."

He patted Axel on his shoulder and smiled at Samantha. Axel shot her one more unsure look before grabbing his cap and headed out of the bunk room he called out his good bye as he disappeared.

Jade and Decker had been hiding out at Samantha's  for almost two hours and was about to leave when they heard a buggy pull up in front of her house and the front door open.

They looked around the side of the building to see a older man stepping out of the buggy.

A younger version of him followed.
Meeting the man  that had met them half way down the walk way. His back was to them so they couldn't see his face.

"Where is she, I demand you find her, and we move forward with our arrangement."

The older man told the other.

"I have all my men looking for her, she can't hide long."

"Samantha knows nothing about the streets so she will be found or she will come back."

"Don't make me regret this Blackwell."

"I don't play game's and my son will marry that stupid little Bitch one way or the other."

"If she goes to the police, that could spell disaster."

The man was all but in the others face, and he looked furious.

The other man turned around at this point so they could see his face.

Jade swear under her breath. She new him and her stomach  dropped.

He was the biggest mafia leader in New York city, and the street kids stayed  clear of him and his men at all cost, even Jade didn't won't to mess with them.

"How the fuck did we get drug in to this mess."

She swore again.

"You better get her back Blackwell or your have to deal with me, my men also will carry on with the street kids as planned, there be put in there place also."

"We will find her."

With that he turned and stomped off back to the buggy the younger guy followed.

Blackwell turned to head back inside.

"Still think I'm over reacting." Jade whispered to Decker, who stood up beside her and headed back to the street.

"Fuck."  He said running his hands throw his hair.

"Let's get back, we have things to handle.

By the time they where almost back to the lodging  house Jade was so mad that she wasn't thinking about anything but Samantha.

She had lied to them, hadn't told them everything. She put them in danger by just being there.

If she was found there they could all go down for hiding her.

She had put her family in danger. Jade balled her hands in to fist, also her father was one of then that was attacking the street kids on  top of everything.
