"Wow what a wonderful world we live in" ~Kaylea Ross
I wonder when the day will come,
That I look up at the sky and say to myself,
"Wow what a wonderful world we live in."
But how can I say this?
It really isn't,
The world is a cruel, violent place,
That no one should have to deal with.
I'd agree that there are some beautiful things in this world,
But not nearly as many good things as there are bad.
I'm dying on the inside,
Because I look up at the sky and to the stars
That fill the worlds polluted skies
And I think to myself about
How we've stripped this world of its natural beauties
That could once be seen so well
We've clouded it's sky's with are hatred
And filled it's grounds with the people that breathe the words of discouragement
I say to myself
"One day I'll grow old,
And have children of my own,
That look up at the sky and ask the same things I do.
And I'll let them know,
know about how bad this world can be,
Yet tell them to appreciate its few and rare beauties."
I'll tell them write it down,
Just like I'm doing now.
And who knows maybe someday
I'll grow up and look back on this
And then they'll grow up and look back on theirs
And maybe just maybe somewhere along this chain
Something will change
The world will change
Maybe one day someone will finally do something
And be able to look up at the stars satisfied and say
"Wow what a wonderful world we live in."
