Luke's POV
I think Mia still has a little crush on me. She has to. I've seen that gilt of regret in her eye whenever she looks at me.
Hmm. Maybe I could buy her something to win her back. I just really want Mia back.
I walk along the pathway and start humming a song. "Hey Luke." She says. "I just wanted to check up on you, see how you were doing." I look into her eyes, tears rimming over her lids. "Mia, what happened? What did Austin do to you? I swear I'll kill him if he-" She grabs my arms and shakes me. "No he didn't do anything. One of my friends died today." Mia sniffles, I pick her up bridal style and carry her back to my dorm room.
"Hey, stop crying. I'd do anything just to see you smile again. Please believe me Mia." I say putting my hand on her back.
Her phone rings breaking our moment together. She picks it up and answers, "Hello, oh hi Austin. No I'm fine, I'm just hanging out with Luke. No Austin, you don't need to come over here. Bye. Yeah yeah I love you too."
She puts down her phone then burst into tears yet again. Is there anything you can do to make this girl happy? I try and love her with all my heart but she pushes me away. Only because of that one night. *sigh*
The door slams open and Austin steps inside the room. "Hey Mia. Oh hi Luke." Mia gets up leaving me hanging and goes for a hug with Austin. I think to myself are you kidding me I could've done that. "Hey what's wrong baby?" He asks kissing her hair. She sniffles then tells him about her friend. All while I'm still sitting on my bed alone.
"I'll leave you two love birds alone. I gotta go hangout with some of my friends." I say heading towards the door. "See you later Luke." Mia replies through the door.
