Chase's POV

One last kiss? What was I thinking? I smack my head. God. She already knows you like her. No need to be a tool about it.

I bump into Austin. "Hey. Um. So you wanna hang out?" Austin suggest. "What? Me? Are you sure you're talking to me?" I look around, waiting for Ashton Cutcher to appear.

"No. I mean you. I want to see what I'm up against." He chuckles.

I smirk. "Well. You're up against a whole big deal. Mia surely wants me."

He looks at me sideways. "Dude. I thought you were a tool. You're just a good looking, dimpled face, brown haired, geek. And yet Mia has a huge crush on you."

I raise my eyebrow. "What about you guy? You look like a pretty boy who has no recognition for women. You know have sex then leave them." I say to Austin.

Austin laughs, "Wow. That's pretty accurate. Except it was different with Mia. She was so fragile. And she looked like she needed me. So I just gave her a chance. And we hit it off."

I look Down at my hands. "Maybe I was wrong about you."

He smiles. "I was completely wrong about you Chase. You're a cool guy."

"But there's a problem. Which one of us gets Mia?" I stare at Austin.

"I'd let you have her if you promise to treat her right, keep her safe, and love her."

I stretch out my eyes. "You're actually giving her to me?"

He shrugs. "Yeah. The distance would kill me. We don't live that close. You guys live in Canada. And I live in Maryland. I feel like I trust you. I'm leaving her with someone who will treat her good. And who isn't that far away from her. Take her. I still am deeply in love with Mia, but you can have her. I leave Tomorrow, sadly."

I open my mouth wide. "Thanks. I-I don't know what to say. I will treat her right. I love her to death." I say grabbing Austin and jumping on his back.
