Chapter 17

Mia's POV

I run as fast as I can to my car, hopping inside I put my key in the ignition. I realize I don't even know where Chase is. I panic, not knowing what to do. While I'm still in a daze, Austin comes crawling to the passenger side. Opening the door he hops inside. I scream, trying to kick him out. He blocks all of my kicks. Then tells me to be quiet. We might wake up the neighbors. This causes me to scream louder in hopes of getting someone's attention.

My loud screaming worked, a not so tough looking pretty boy came out to the rescue. "What's going on here." He gazes from me to Austin, finally walking to Austin's side plucks him out of the way. My eyes get wide and I thank the guy. He gets in my car, smiling like nothing has happened. "So was that guy your ex or something?" I shake my head. "Oh," he Says, "My name is David." He says, sticking out his hand.

I slap it away. "I don't have time for this right now! I have to find my boyfriend!" David's eyes lower in sadness at the mention of the word boyfriend. I take a hard, long look at him before starting the car.

I push the gas pedal as hard as I can with my foot and realize I don't even know where Chase is! Stopping the car abruptly, I get out of the car, leaving David in the car alone. Looking around for Austin, I stumble over a body, looking down, I see Austin laying down. Shaking him a bit, he wakes up in a daze. "Mia? Mia? Is that you? W-what's going on? W-where am I?" He stutters, trying to act innocent.

"Oh shut up. Stop trying to act all innocent. Tell me where you hid Chase? We need to find him." He stops for a moment. Taking in all of my features. "Do you love him more than me?" I look away, too stunned to answer the question. "Austin I...."

David interrupts our little 'conversation', reminding us what we're there for. "Austin, just tell me where Chase is? Please. I'm begging you." I plead, grabbing onto his wrists. he looks at me dead in the eyes, the chuckles, "He's in a shed, but it's all the way across town."

Rolling my eyes I say, " Just take us there will you, Chase is in grave danger thanks to you."
