Friday, the first day of the weekend, the second school was over. Cassie threw every single notebook into her bag and left the school in a rush. She could feel the harsh glare of Edward Cullen digging into her flesh as she drove off.

She sometimes liked to imagine Edward Cullen was a decent human being, if he even was human. This entire obsession was overall shitty for her. She didn't yearn for answers, but she knew if she gave up, things would fall apart for her.

She parked her car before getting out, walking into the small coffee shop. She sat alone like always, looking over her notes as she sipped away at cup after cup of coffee.

Soft hums of music entered her ears as she looked outside the window beside her. She watched people walking about, they looked happy; normal.

The door chimed and her eyes locked with Edwards almost instantly. She pushed her notebook closed when she noticed him walking towards her.

She could ignore him, pretend he wasn't real but here he was. Sitting across from her his gaze burning into her very soul.

She took her headphones out "you make it a habit of sitting at random people's tables?". He smiled weakly as he looked at her notebook.

"Only ones I don't trust, you come here every Friday after school. You just sit here until it's dark, and the only thing you do is look at that".

He pointed at her notebook, she grabbed it "well I'm not surprised you're following me around. I saw you the other day, in that tree. If you're gonna stalk me, maybe do a better job at it".

She went to leave but he grabbed her arm stopping her. She looked at him "you want answers about my family, I need to know if I can trust you".

She felt shocked as she sat back down "you mean you're gonna finally tell me your secrets". She grabbed her notebook but he grabbed it away.

"Only if you tell me yours" he opened the notebook as she grew tense "I don't have secrets Edward". He laughed lightly "your mind is loud, most people don't even realize they have secrets, but you aren't like most people. You keep your secrets hidden".

He looked at her arms "does your father know what you do when you lock your door, has he seen the scars you've marked on yourself".

She blinked as she looked outside "I don't know what you're talking about". She felt a shiver run along her spine when Edwards fingers touched her skin. He pulled her sleeve upwards, his fingers running along her scars.

"Such a fragile thing" he looked at her as she pulled her arm away from his hold. "Tell me, just tell me already Edward". He smiled "I imagine you will find closure once I tell you".

For once her thoughts were silent, and he couldn't figure out what she was feeling.

Her tone was soft as she put her things into her bag "I don't think I'll ever have closure". She stared at him blankly as she stood up from the table.

Her thoughts were clear once again and Edward hid away his emotions. I'll be gone soon

She smiled weakly at him as she walked out of the shop. She pressed her headphones back into her ears as she neared her car.
