Chapter 5: A Date?!

Two weeks later

Lucy P.O.V

When I woke up, I touched the red ribbon in my hair.

Natsu...he's not that bad.

I lifted the blanket off me and ran to the bathroom without being spotted. I got ready and ran back to my room. I lifted my bedroom window and jumped out.

I hopped on to the English ivy on the wall and I used that to climb down. When I reached the bottom, I jumped off and ran away.

Heh heh heh. I finally have my freedom.

I ran straight ahead until I felt myself smack something hard. I looked up and saw Capricorn.

"Lucy-sama, do you think you can fool me that easily?"

Crap, I was so close!

I looked around me and saw an opening.

"Of course not Capricorn. I could never escape you."

He then put a proud look on his face and crossed his arms. "Well, that's very kind of you Lucy-Sama. But, it's nothing but truth. Blah Blah Bah"

While he was busy flattering himself, I quickly ran away. Past the gate, over the hedges, and into the boy with the familiar pink hair.

Natsu P.O.V

I was walking to school when I suddenly heard a loud sound.

"NATSU!!"

I looked behind me and saw that blonde hair. Lucy was running right towards me, without stop and with fear in her eyes.

"Lucy, what-ow!"

She crashed into me making me fall on the floor. She had me pinned on the floor.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm..."

She finally noticed the way she had me pinned down. Her face turned a shade of red.

"Eeeek! I'm sorry." She quickly got off and helped me up.

"Damn Lucy, you hit hard."

"Sorry...I was in a big rush."

"No kidding. What happened?"

"Well ah...Oh look! It's a kitty."

She ran to the little white kitten in the box by the tree. She keeled down and started to pet it.

Then I notice the ribbon she used to make her pigtails.

"You're using the ribbon I gave you..."

"Huh? Oh yeah." She touched it and smiled at me. "Why wouldn't I wear it? I love it! It's the best thing I ever got, especially since you gave it to me."

I flinched and felt my cheeks turn pink. "Tch. Whatever."

***At school

I was walking to homeroom when I saw Gray.

"What are you doing here, Gray?"

"Looks like you're getting better. I wonder why?"

"What do you know? You just got here."

"Natsu, I know how you were when she left. You've gotten better since then. Is it that girl?"

"Shut up! You don't know anything about me."

"You're right. All I know is that you're a sad romantic with no life."

"Gray!"

I tightened my fist angrily.
