Chapter 23: Ugly

Erza P.O.V

As I dashed though the halls, I made sure to carry my bokken with me. Today, things are going to get ugly.

I slammed the door open to Zeref sensei's room. I walked in and stood in front of the class. "Listen up! The School Games are about to begin."

The class started to whisper in confusion. "What're the school games?" someone yelled out.

"Good question. This is the first year for the school games. In the school Games, we go up against 6 of the nearest schools in our district. More details will be posted shortly."

I looked around the class and saw Lucy raising her hand. "Yes?" I asked looking towards Lucy.

"Um...When do the games start?"

"No date has been confirmed yet; however, Principle Makarov says it might start around May."

"Then why are you telling us this now? It's September!" A boy with orange hair yelled from the back.

"Fool! In November we pick our players. In December, during winter break, we start training. However, still in November, all 7 schools come together to have a meeting. It's important to know anything ahead of time."

I straightened my back and saluted. "Good day." I walked out the room and went off to ever other room. After, I went to mine.

I slammed the door open and scanned the room.

Red tattoo...Red tatt-! Found em! I walked over to his desk and keeled before it. "I thought I said that tattoo must be gone by today."

"But, I was trying to say, I can't. I've-" I turned towards Ms. V and said, "This student has to go to the office."

"What?!"

"Shut it criminal!"

"But I can't-!"

"Let's go." He stood up and followed me towards my office.

Lucy P.O.V

It felt like a constant replay. Yesterday, Natsu and Gray were following me like lost puppies. Now it's the same thing. Lucy this. Lucy that. I hate this...

I was walking out of class when Natsu ran up to me. I gave him the stink eye. "Whoa...someone's not happy to see me."

I rolled my eyes and looked straight ahead without another word. "Come on Lucy. Why're you giving me the silent treatment?"

I stopped and looked at him. "I'm tired of this!"

"What?"

"You guys are following me like lost puppies!"

"What? I'm just protecting you. I am your-"

"Natsu, you're not my dad. I just got rid of him; don't make me get rid of you." I turned away and marched off without another word.

Lisanna P.O.V

Fighting? Lucy and Natsu are fighting! This is great!

As I watched them from behind the vending machine, I knew I was getting a second chance.
