Samara sits in her room, legs crossed over each other, staring at her phone, at the name on her screen.
Lydia.
Ever since the strawberry blonde said she wanted to get to know Samara she hasn't been able to get her off her mind. The weird feeling in her stomach every time she talks to her, when she got her number.
It confused her.
Pressing the number, Samara puts her phone to her ear, listening to the ringing.
"Hi, it's Lydia. I can't come to phone right now cause I'm out living my life. Anyway, I'll call you back. Bye!"
After hearing the voicemail Samara puts her phone down, defeated.
Stupid. Why would she answer. Stupid.
Samara throws her phone onto her bed and lays down, staring at the ceiling, a defeated look on her face.
A couple hours later her phone rings. Picking it up she sees Lydia's name.
"Hello?" she asks.
"H-hey, Samara, can you come over?" she asks, her voice shaking.
"What happened?" Samara asks, panic flooding her body, which confuses her.
"T-there was an attack at the video store." Lydia tells her.
"Are you hurt?" she asks in alarm.
"No, but really scared."
"Okay, send me your address, I'm on my way." she tells her, hanging up and grabbing her keys.
Samara gets in her car, looks at the address sent and starts to drive.
---
Samara parks in front of Lydia's house, opens her door and runs out of her car. "Lydia!" she calls out as she bangs on the door.
A minute later the door opens to reveal Lydia, with tears streaming down her face, and her eyes wide.
"Hey." Samara's gaze softened as she looks at her.
Lydia smiles and grabs the Gray teens hand, pulling her into her house and up to her room. Lydia sits on her bed, pulling Samara with her.
"You wanna talk about it?" Samara asks, gently.
"No."
"Do you want me to leave?"
"No."
"What do you want?" she asks, her voice soft, something she's never done before. Shaking off her confusion she looks back at the strawberry blonde.
"Just sit with me, please." Lydia asks, her voice vulnerable, something Samara has never seen from the girl.
"Okay." she nods, keeping her hand in Lydia's as the two sit in silence, enjoying each other's company.
Both trying to figure out why they get butterflies every time the see each other.

A little while later Samara's phone rings. Looking at it she sees the name. Derek. She sighs looking at the strawberry blonde leaning against her shoulder. "Hey Lyds. I have to go, it's my brother."
