While Belly was occupied with Cameron, Conrad was trying to apologize to Elizabeth, the boy knew she was upset about what Belly said.

"El, I'm sorry, I said that way before I met you,"Conrad promised her. "I swear I would never say that about you."

"I know, Con, but I just need a minute," Elizabeth said walking over to get her a drink.

"Ok."

Elizabeth wasn't mad at Conrad, she was actually mad at Belly, wondering why she said that, and was acting like that when they didn't do anything wrong. She didn't understand why Belly didn't like her. She tried to be nice to the younger girl but it was hard to do when she was being so rude to Elizabeth.

Elizabeth was sitting in front of the fire, watching the flames, when Jeremiah plopped down beside her, smiling.

"Aloha, Ellie bear," Jeremiah said chuckling.

"Please don't call me that," Elizabeth laughed for a second, then it got quiet again.

"Ok," Jeremiah started. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing, it's stupid," Elizabeth said shaking her head embarrassed.

"I don't judge," Jeremiah told her.

"I don't know, I just have this weird feeling," Elizabeth said quietly. "I don't think Belly likes me very much."

"Uh, well..." Jeremiah started but stopped.

"What, did I do something?" Elizabeth asked.

"No, Belly's just used to being the only girl, ok," Jeremiah said. "And it's probably nothing, but she used to have a little crush on Conrad, she's probably just a little intimidated or something, I mean, you are kinda scary."

"No, I'm not," Elizabeth said smiling a little. "I just wanted to be her friend."

"I'm sure by the end of the summer, you will be best friends," Jeremiah said reassuringly.

"You think?"

"Oh yeah, just don't go replacing me," Jeremiah said making Elizabeth shove him.

"No one could ever replace you, Jere," Elizabeth told him looking at the fire.

"Good," Jeremiah said smiling.
