"Morning," Conrad said to his mom, walking into the kitchen.
"Hey, oh, you look so good in your shirt," Susannah said. "Where's Ellie?"
"Upstairs she's finishing getting ready."
"So, uh, what's been going on with Belly and Elizabeth?" Susannah asked, she's been wanting to bring it up for a few days but not infront of either of the girls.
"Belly kissed me on the fourth," Conrad told him mom.
"What?" Susannah gasped. "Why would she do that?"
"She likes me, I guess she thought I like her too," Conrad rolled his eyes.
"Why would she think that? If anything she should think that about Jere, have you seen the heart eyes he gives her." Susannah said.
"I think you need glasses because the only person Jere is giving heart eyes to is Aubrey," Conrad said making Susannah's eyes widen. "but Elizabeth doesn't really like her anymore, I'm not the biggest fan of her either right now," Conrad said.
"I told Jeremiah to ask her to the deb ball," Susannah said frowning. "Now I know why he said no."
"I'm surprised she's even going through with it." Conrad said scoffing.
"Me too, to be honest," Susannah sighed. "But I'm excited to see your reaction to Elizabeth's dress, she looks beautiful in it."
"She looks beautiful in everything."
Susannah smiled at her son, she could tell he was really in love with Elizabeth, which is why she wasn't shocked by the next words.
"I have a ring," Conrad mumbled.
Susannah shrieked running over to Conrad hugging him. He pulled it out of his pocket, opening the velvet box and showing her.
"Oh, Connie," Susannah sighed in awe. "It's beautiful, she's gonna love it."
"I'm gonna ask Nat when we get back to New York."
Susannah smiled looking at her son. "I'm so proud of you."
"Thanks, mom."
"And I just know she is going to say yes," Susannah said pulling Conrad into a hug.
"Ok, I gotta go meet with Cleveland." Conrad said standing up.
"Ok, don't be late this afternoon for the tournament cause we need help setting up."
