I'm afraid of being forgotten
Of being left behind
And you did just that.

When you were needed the most
You didn't arrive.
When you weren't needed at all
You still didn't arrive.

When you said we'll be friends forever
I believed each and every word of that.
But your forever lasted less than a month.

You turned your head away from me
You found new friends to share your feelings with.

We never studied again together
You had much better places to be.

Our chats were filled with one sided talks
Now you have to scroll higher and higher
Because those single sided memes stopped too.

It all occured to me
When my calls would all fail.
That I was just a trumpet.
A measure to vent out
But then you befriended another piano.

If you knew this all
You would say you still love me.
That you care for me.
And maybe in that moment it would all be true.

But you know it too
That the bond we once had
Would never be alive again.
