Hope's POV:

I carry my tray over to the table of my younger siblings are. Behind me I hear the boys following after me. I set down the tray and sit across the twins and give them a smile.

"Hey twins. How's your day been so far?" I question looking between the two as I pick up a carrot and toss it in my mouth to eat.

Glenda smiles brightly, "it's been awesome. A few girls already asked me to be their friend. Same as Glenn." They nods with a smile just as bright making me smile softly at them.

"That's good. I'm glad you guys are making friends here," I respond grabbing my orange juice and take a drink of it.

My mate's scent fills my nose and I follow the direction it's coming from finding my mate sitting alone on a table while eating.

I pick up my tray and head towards her without an explanation to my siblings although I'm pretty sure Billy and Stu are filling in the twins.

As I approach her I notice a lot of eyes watching me. "Um hello. Is it alright if I sit with you?" I softly ask gesturing to the seat across from her.

She shyly looks up at me with a crinkle between her eyebrows that I find very cute on her. "Huh? I mean yeah. G-go ahead," she shyly stutters and nods.

I smile at her and sit down, setting my tray on the table, "thank you. I'm Hope Valentine and you are?" I hold out my hand to her.

"I-I'm Carrie White. It's nice to meet you, Hope," She quietly tells me and carefully grasp my hand to shake then let go to grab her water.

"It's nice to meet you too, Carrie. Um since I'm new what do you do around here for fun?" I softly ask making the two voices in my head tease me about it.

'It's nice to meet you, Carrie. You're just so beautiful, Carrie," they mock before busting out into fits of laughter and I crack my neck slightly with my fist clenching.

"Uh I-I really don't know. I don't go out. Only to school and home," Carrie informs me and plays with her hands nervously. I frown slightly at that.

Who doesn't go out and have fun? "Well, maybe you can come out with my siblings and I today after school? We were gonna explore the town and shop a little," I respond with a friendly smile.

She glances around while nervously licking her bottom lip slightly. "I-is this a prank? To get in the popular group," she quietly asks pushing a strand of hair behind her ear.

I shake my head quickly, "no, no, no. Of course not. I despise people like that. It's ok if you don't want to go if you think it's a prank but I assure you that it's not. Have....have kids done that before to you?" I look at her with my eyebrows furrowed in concern.

Carrie nods nervously and messes with her bottle of water. "Twice actually. I-I'll go with you guys b-but you have to promise me that it's not a prank," she shyly says making me smile softly at her and hold out my pinky.

"I pinky promise it's not. I never break a promise just ask my younger siblings. They always make me pinky promise them when they want something," I respond chuckling slightly and she gives a very small smile as she wraps her pinky around mine softly.

Her hands feel so soft. A couple of trays landing on the table made us pull away from each other and turn to see who it was. Lucky it's just my siblings.

I'm gonna have to find who pulled the pranks on my mate and then they're gonna pay for that. "Carrie, these are my siblings. Billy, Stu, and the twins. Glen and Glenda," I introduce them to each other and Glenda waves cutely at Carrie who blushes while giving a shy wave.
