I was walking home from work, when I realised I was being followed, an alien called a Zygon, that had morph into humans and was trying to take over the human race. I managed to fend one of them off, until the Doctor appeared. At first, he pointed his sonic screwdriver at me, thinking I was one of them, but he scanned me and realised I was neutral.

So we both ran together, worked as a team to come up with a plan, a few near death experiences in between. I went home that evening, everything seemed normal again, the Doctor had vanished, like he was never even there.

The next morning I spotted him popping out of a blue telephone box on the corner of my road, he offered to show me the universe. How could I refuse?

Two years had passed,we became close, I found myself falling head over heels, he seemed to enjoy my company too, then he asked me.

He kneeled down on one knee,"You and me forever?"

After a waltz round a royal ball in the Victorian times, I couldn't believe it, the answer was simple.

I wiped the tears from my cheeks, "Yes!!"

Everything seemed perfect.

A few months later, the Doctor went missing. I had no idea where he was, I went back home to wash some clothes, and he never returned to pick me up. Was he having second thoughts? How exactly do you plan a wedding when your fiancé is always travelling?

I heard the Tardis warp outside, the front door opened, "Are you still packing?" A voice called.

I hadn't seen him in a week. I rushed downstairs and kissed his cheek, "No that was a week ago."
"A week ago? Oh sorry, the timing is a bit off."

He noticed the backpack in the hallway, he didn't pick it up for me like usual, for once he didn't seem to be itching to go. Something seemed wrong.

I forced a smile, "Do you want a cup of tea? Or anything to eat?"
"Ah I'm alright! I'll just sit down for a bit." He said as he headed to the living room.

Not knowing what to do with myself, I sat opposite him, "Have you been up to anything exciting?"
"Ah let's see.. Well I bumped into a Dalek or two, got some shopping... and...!! Nearly got beheaded. You know the usual." He said ever so casually.

There was an odd silence, he sprung up after a few seconds and sat down, "A walk!"
"What?"
"Let's go for a walk! Get some fresh air!" The Doctor suggested.

I went to grab my backpack, the Doctor touched my hand, "Leave the bag for now, we'll come back for it later."

I nodded and grabbed my jacket, before swiftly heading out the door with the Doctor.

We walked through the woods not far from my house, that's what I liked about living in the countryside, you could always just get out and clear your head. The Doctor held my hand as we strolled along, I stared at him trying to figure him out, but the more I did the more baffled I became.

"Why didn't you take me with you? I could have helped." I finally said.

He didn't look me in the eye, he only stared ahead, he seemed miles away, "I didn't plan on it, it just happened. Things just happen."

He finally turned to face me, realising I was looking up at him, "Lucia, it's nothing personal. I just needed space for a bit." He reassured me.

"Oh right, okay." I sighed with relief, "I thought you were getting sick of me."
The Doctor squeezed my hand, "Of course not."

A gunshot. Then again and again. The Doctor's tight squeeze was now limp as his wounded body staggered to the ground, I held him close.

I began to shriek, "Doctor.. Doctor.. Stay with me!"
