Everything was a lie. I wondered in a daze and sat on a bench close by.

"You saw him then?" A voice asked.

I nodded, not wanting to look at the same face. Neil grunted as he sat beside me, "Bastard."
"I don't get it. How?"
Neil sighed and leaning back, tilting his head to the sky, "You really don't want to know-"
I shot my head round, "I have every right to know! We were meant to be married, I am- was his fiancé!"

My hands shook, I attempted to throw the ring, but all I could do was clutch it in my hand.

I found myself sobbing in front of him, my head resting on his chest, as he embraced me.

"He really messed you up, eh?"
I nodded without a word, he smiled sadly, "If it makes you feel any better, he screwed me over too."
He showed me fistfuls of bank notes from his jacket, "He paid me with money that I can only use in my own dimension."

I pulled away as I looked up at him, "I'm sorry."

"Don't be, it's not your fault."
I looked up at him, "Let's get a milkshake. I need one."
"Certain you don't need anything stronger?" He wondered.
I wiped my tears and smirked, "We shall see."

Before I knew it, we were speeding through the city. After a half an hour, he found a desert restaurant,"Here?" He asked.

"Keep going."
We drove another ten minutes, he stopped near a bar, "Here?"

"Further. Keep going until I say."

We drove through the night, I still held the key in my hand unknowingly. After hours, I saw the beam of light outside a jazz club in the desert.

"Wait? A desert?" I questioned, half awake, realising we were in the middle of a grand crayon looking desert.

"I was going to say, but is that normal here?"
"No! No it's not, this is England, there're no deserts here-"
I hopped off the bike, the TARDIS was in the distance, "We.. teleported?"
"Well not quite-" A voice said over my shoulder.

It was him.

"The jig is up." Neil said looking at the Doctor over my shoulder.

The Doctor nodded, "I gathered."
I spun around and punched the Doctor in the face, he stumbled back, "Wow. Okay I deserved that."

"You deserve more." I hissed, Neil held me back.

He grinned, "You are a badass! High five!"
I shot a cold look, Neil placed his hand down, "Sorry, bad timing."
I dropped the ring on the ground, "Next time, tell me straight instead of faking your own death."
"I didn't want to hurt you-"
I laughed bitterly, "A bit late for that."

I jumped back the motorbike, waiting for Neil to rejoin me. Neil stood awkwardly, between the Doctor and myself, the Doctor rose back to his feet and brushed himself off.

"Time jump! That's what it was. You're on a different planet if you haven't realised." The Doctor pointed out.
"What?!" Neil exclaimed, "Why can't you let me go back to my universe? This wasn't part of the-"
"At least stay for one drink, they do the best Pina Colada in the galaxy here, except it's called something else... And use different ingredients, but it's just as snazzy!" The Doctor offered.

I stared ahead not looking back at the identical individuals, Neil looked back at me and back to the Doctor, "Why are we here?"

The Doctor sighed, "I will send you back to your own universe, after a drink."

Neil frowned,"No. Send us back now, or-"

I wandered hypnotised into the distance, I was grabbed by a massive shadowed hand, that suddenly became a black sandy tornado, that began to quickly spin off into the desert.
"Lucia!!" Neil ran forward, all he could do was helplessly watch.
