CHAPTER 14, FAMILY MATTERS
𝕿en Years had passed since both princesses had wed. They'd grown taller, older. Their relationship, however, had never changed. Even now, in the throws of labor, Alaenna was beside her sister. This would be Rhaenyra's third; Alaenna had had her fourth sometime ago.
Rhaenyra was covered in sweat, trying her best to keep up with the midwives around her. She struggles to take full deep breaths as instructed, the pain of it all seeming unbearable.
"Keep breathing. And push." Rhaenyra was strong and had many babes before. She followed the course of the contraction pushing the baby out.
"And again."
"I c-- I can't," Rhaenyra's grip had strengthened throughout the contraction, leaving Alaenna with a red arm after this was done.
