CORIE
" Remember what I said Cor," Harry says kissing me before I leave for my first class.
" I know, no more long walks with my boss."
" Sounds weird when you say it out loud, huh?"
" A little jerkface," I giggle heading out.
I was close to my classes so I got there pretty quickly. Sitting in the 2nd row I waited for the class to fill up. When my phone went off with an unfamiliar tone I was a little confused. Realizing I must've grabbed Harry's phone I decided to put it on vibrate and worry about getting mine back after my first class.
Whoever was calling and texting wouldn't stop even when class started. I knew it must've been important but I needed to know what was being taught. So I continued to ignore it.
After class, I rushed into the hallway to read the 12 missed text messages.
♢Harry can you stop ignoring me?♢
♢I just want to talk to you and explain everything♢
♢I honestly miss you Harry. Really.♢
I was livid. Calling my phone I waited for Harry to answer.
" I know I grabbed your phone by mistake--"
" Harry who's Sam?"
It got quiet. " Please say something," I say as I'm headed to my second class.
" Corie, it's not what you think. I haven't even responded to her, Samantha is just--"
" Wait Samantha as in your first love Samantha?" Please say no.
"Yes."
" Harry! When were you going to tell me?"
"When everything with your dad died down, but Cor there's not much to tell. There's not much to say to her. Please believe me."
I take a deep breath, "I believe you. But I want to talk more about this later."
" Alright, no problem."
" I gotta go, I'm almost at my next class."
" Okay, I love you girl, you have no idea how much."
" I think I do. See you later," I smile disconnecting the call.
I was relieved in a sense but some small (well not necessarily small) part of me still felt worried. What did she want? Why was she back?
I could always call and find out...who am I kidding? I wouldn't do that.
I was so lost in thought I didn't realize someone was calling me until they grabbed my arm.
Spinning around I dropped my books and screamed when I saw who it was.
HARRY
" Man I don't know. Whatever Sam wants I just hope it's nothing crazy," I say sitting back on the couch talking to Liam.
"Maybe she wants to apologize?"
" She wouldn't come all the way from England to do so."
" What if she, you know, wants you back?"
I close my eyes and all I see is wild curly hair. "I'm taken," I smirk.
" Wow, never thought I'd see the day. You use to be crazy about Samantha."
" Yea, I won't lie and say I never loved her, but with Corie it's different. We fight, laugh and joke. She's sweet but a firecracker at the same time and I think she sees good in me, or at least I hope she does. I love her in a whole different way than I did Sam. And the sex...sheesh."
" Okay okay, enough," Liam laughed holding his hands up. " But yea I get it, Corie seems amazing and she's gorgeous, sheesh."
I shoot him a look and he laughs. " What's going on with you and Long Legs?"
" Oh man, everything. She's completely different than I am and it just works. I don't want to rush things but I like her...a lot."
" Cool, I'm happy for you bro."
" Same here."
CORIE
" Whoa whoa relax," he grinned leaning towards me.
" Get the hell away from me Will," I say gritting my teeth.
" Hmmm, I see you heard about that terrible rumor going on involving me and some chick."
" That 'chick' is my friend and it's not a rumor."
" Now if it were true, wouldn't I still be in jail?" he tilts his head to the side. His whole demeanor changed since the first time I met him. It was arrogant, rude and menacing.
" Unless maybe it's not about what happened but who you know. My family has political ties...is that why I got off?"My eyes open in shock. He's going to walk, after all the disgusting things he did to Dani. I push past him and head to my next class.
" We need to be friends," he calls mocking me.
I put my middle finger up and never look back.

Work is going by really quickly. All I can think about is Will and the fact that he's back on campus. None of this is fair.
" Earth to Corie..." DJ says waving a hand in front of my face.
" Oh sorry, I was--"
" Day dreaming."
" I'm sorry it won't happen again," I apologize.
" Trust me, I daydream all day."
" About what?"
" About places, people...food," he laughs.
" Oh I'd love to day dream about food, curves my hunger," I say wiping down one of the tables.
" I'm about to go across the street for lunch, wanna join? Your break is about to come up any way, plus it's slow today."
" Um, sure just let me finish this and we can grab a bite."
●●●●●●
" So you wanna tell me what you've been thinking about all day?" DJ asks biting into his burger.
"Just life and how it's not fair," I twisted my fork around into my spaghetti.
" Yea, no one ever said it was fair or easy. We have to work with what we got."
" Yea I guess you're right. Change of subject. All this life talk is depressing me and it's such a nice day outside," I sigh.
" Which makes me wonder why you chose to eat inside."
"Bugs," I say quickly.
" Bugs?"
" Yea they're everywhere, you know?"
" You sure it's not cause you don't want your boyfriend to see us?" he questions his grey eyes peering into mine.
" Well this is embarrassing."
" No, don't be embarrassed Corie. I get it, I mean I guess I'd be a little overprotective if I had a girlfriend that looked like you."
" Well thanks, but it can get a little annoying at times," I smile.
"I can imagine. Maybe he just doesn't realize how loyal you are or...never mind."
"No finish, what were you going to say? I'm curious now."
" Well I was just going to say that studies show that the accuser is usually the one cheating."
I swallow my food slowly. Thinking back to Samantha's text messages to Harry almost makes me lose my appetite.
" I don't know when to shut up, I'm sorry if I said anything to--"
" No, there's no need for apology DJ. My mind is just elsewhere."
" Change of subject?"
" Please."
