The next day they were up at 6 getting ready for school. Bye mom, bye dad Tanner and Laney said in unison as they walked out the door. They walked to the end of the driveway and waited for the bus. They talked about MX and they talked about who was gonna win the pro MX title, Tanner had 60 bucks on Tomac, Laney had 40 on Sexton. The big yellow bus came screeching to a hault in front of their house. They got on the bus and started walking to the back. She saw two boys sitting across from each other that looked familiar but she couldn't tell from where. Tanner sat next to her and said, did you see them? Did I see who? Tanner pointed to her shirt, a Haiden Deegan hoodie, Him! Wait, that's who that was? YES! Tanner quietly exclaimed. She saw Haiden continuously looking back, and when he noticed she was wearing his merch he waited until the driver wasn't looking and walked back by her. "Hey" he said, while obviously checking her out. "Hey Haiden Deegan" she said. He laughed. "Can I sit here? He pointed to her seat. Yeah sure she said. "Cool he said while sitting down. " So uh you like moto?" "Yeah, me and my brother Tanner, she points to him across the next seat over, he does a slight wave and Dangerboy nods his head toward him, we race. We're from Colorado but we moved here yesterday for better opportunities for MX. "Oh ok, Haiden said. "Nice shirt by the way, He said giggling. "Shut up" she said. They laughed. She looked away from him, and looked out the window for a minute, when she looked back at him he was staring at her face. "Hey, are you ok. Haiden blinked," yeah I'm good, just a lot going on. He said his face turning red as a tomato. "So what bikes do you guys ride?" Tanner said, I have a yz 85 Laney's got a YZ 250. " Cool..." Y'know, Hucks got the same bike as you, and I have the same bike as her. Caleb's gonna be at our house tonight for training, would you guys wanna come over to ride with us? "Sure Laney said, I'll have to ask my dad though but he probably won't care." "Ok cool" Haiden said
"I'll call him now.
"Hey dad, Haiden Deegan invited me and Tanner over to ride tonight, is that cool?
"WHO invited you over?!
"Haiden Deegan?
"THE Haiden Deegan.
Yes dad, the Haiden Deegan. She heard Haiden laughing next to her. She smiled at him.
"Hell yeah you guys can go"
Ok dad cool
She hung up the phone. He said its cool if we come over.
Nice, by the way, could I get your snap, for if you wanna come over and ride again. "Oh yeah of course Laney said holding out her phone so he could add her. Just then the bus pulled up at the school. Tanner had moved up by Hudson midway through the bus ride, and turns out they had the same schedule so Hudson showed him where everything was so Laney didn't have to. Laney pulled out her schedule, and her and Haiden looked at it. She was so surprised when Haiden looked up at her and said, we have the exact same classes together. Every. Single. One. She looked at him and smiled good cause I don't know where a damn thing is at this place. They both laughed and walked inside school.
