We woke up the next day a little late. All the mechanics were already up working on the bikes. I walked out and saw that Chase and Hailie had gotten here. There Can-Am Outlander was sitting there along with Chases pitbike. I nodded my head at them and walked over to the Star trailer where my dad was. Laney was there with Tanner to. Tanner was getting advice from Christian. Laney saw me and came over to me and gave me a hug. "Morning buddy. You ready for today?" "I think so." "Good, cause your winning everything this year remember?" We both laughed. "I'm gonna try to. I wanna go out with a bang." This was my last year at Loretta Lynn's and I wanted to win all my motos.They started to call 250 B so we all got on our bikes and rode to the line. I gave Laney a kiss and rode to my start gate. When the gate dropped, my bike stalled out. I could hear the announcers, "Oh and it looks like there might be some trouble for the #38 of Haiden Deegan!" I quick started up my bike and got back going. I had a lot of work to do. I quickly caught up to everyone and started passing guys. Before I knew it I was in fifth. The order was Laney, Dax Bennick, Preston Boespflug, Dayton Briggs, me. I tried to pass Dayton on the inside but he chopped me so I hit a birm and passed him up. I caught Preston and passed him, then my childhood best friend Dax. I knew he would be hard to pass so I just sent it on some whoops and passed him. Next was Laney. I couldn't even see her. I started hitting everything super hard trying to catch up to her but I didn't have enough to catch her and she won the moto. She rode her bike up on the podium. I walked up by her and gave her a hug. "Hell yeah girl, you were gone. But I was catching you though. "Good job Haiden. What happened to you? "Damn bike stalled on the start. "Oh. Sorry dude." I patted her on the back and walked off the podium. They gave Laney a holeshot award and a gold medal. The announcer came over to get an interview with her. "So who do you wanna thank for this? "The entire Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha team, my mechanic Darren, my mom, my dad, brother Tanner, my boyfriend Haiden, I wouldn't be here if not for him, and everyone else that's helped me along the way." "Alright there she is, another hand for Laney Jackson!" "Now can we get our second place finisher Haiden Deegan?" I walked up onto the podium and waved at the crowd. "Well Haiden that moto didn't go to plan but you still got a silver, tell me about." "Yeah so my bike stalled on the start so that's what caused all of it. I got past everyone but Laney but she's a damn good rider. So I guess we did pretty good but it hurts cause we were so close just couldn't get it done." "Alright and who do you wanna thank Haiden." "I wanna thank Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha, method race wheels, Can-Am, Craftsman, mom and dad for bringing me out here, Hudson, Chase and Hailie for coming out, and Laney, I'm super proud of her, and I can't wait for the next moto. Alright thanks Haiden Thank you" I said. I walked off the podium and Wyatt walked over to me. "Changing anything dude?" "Suspensions too stiff bro." "Alright I can fix that." "Thanks my man" I said.
I ended up winning the rest of my Motos, and Laney sweeped the girls class.
