First Pro Race

I was doing all the amateur nationals and I have all the points I need for my pro card. So does Laney. We got our pro cards and we would be making our first pro starts at Ironman. We were training really hard and we thought we were ready for Ironman. Laney and Tanner stayed over at my house the night before the race because her parents couldn't come. We went to bed at 10 because we needed to sleep before the race. We went up to my room and I layed on an air mattress and she was on my bed. A while had gone by and I couldn't go to sleep. "Haiden are you up"I heard her say. "Yeah." "Come up here" I jumped up and got in bed with Laney. I put my arm around her shoulder. "Ready for tomorrow?" I said. "I don't know. I think so" she said. I nodded my head. I kissed her and then we both went to sleep. I guess we just calm each other I don't know.

We woke up the next day at 7 then we got ready. I woke up and Laney was in the shower. When she got out I jumped in. I threw on my boots and jeans and a Monster Energy shirt. I walked out and Laney was putting everything in her gear bag. She had packed mine for me. "Thank you babe" I hugged her and grabbed a Yamaha hat. "Shit" she said. "What?" "I forgot my hoodie at my house." I walked to my closet and threw a Deegan 38 hoodie at her. She smiled at me. I grabbed our gear bags and put them in the truck. We waited in the kitchen for everyone else to get ready. We had two trucks ready, me Laney my dad and my mom were in one. Chase, Hailie, Huck and Tanner were in the other. We drove to the airport and got on Stars private plane. We got to the track and we went to the Star trailer. We went and walked the track. We went back and put our gear on. I rode up the start gate for practice. I could hear the announcer, "We have a 16 year old and a 17 year old making their debut today. They are Laney Jackson on the #46 Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha 250, and Haiden 'Dangerboy' Deegan on the #38 Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha 250. And these two, significant others." We practiced for a while then went and qualified. We did pretty well for our first time. Chase Sexton was the fastest. I was talking with Tomac and Christian when they called our first race. We rode up to the start gate. I walked over and gave Laney a hug and then we started the race. I had a terrible start but Laney's was perfect but Nate Thrasher got the holeshot. I ended up in 10th and Laney was 11th. We got back to the pit and we talked with everyone. A while later they went for their next moto. They finished the same spots. They hung out for a while and then they left. I stayed at Laney's house that night. We were up all night talking about the races.
