"Finney!" Bruce said, running up to me, behind him was someone, but I couldn't see who so I figured they were just walking by.
"Hola pookie, ¿cómo estás?" I giggle, turning around to open my locker.
"No sabía que hablabas español, chico nuevo. Mi día apesta, ¿sabes? Porque el maestro le dijo a toda la clase que me gustaba alguien." A voice said, guess bruce wasnt alone, huh? I turned around again, his time to see vance, bruce, robin, and Gwen all behind me.
"Bro what did you say??" Vance asked, smacking robin the the arm. "For all we know you could've told him to fuck off and go jump off a bridge. You could've said you hoped his mom died! I don't know???"
Gwen and I stared at Vance wide eyed, then we looked at bruce.
"¿Coqueteaste con él?" Vance asked, I had no idea what it meant because I spoke very little Spanish, apparently so did Vance but now he's saying things and I have no idea what they mean, but I guess robin did because he turned a bright shade of pink.
"¡No, no coqueteé con él! ¡También su madre está muerta, idiota!" Robin finally spat out, after what felt like years of him being silent.
"I mean I don't think he told me to jump off a bridge" I started to say, " and my moms already dead so I guess his wishes already came true" I said, before shutting my locker and walking off to lunch with Gwen next to me, giggling at the other threes faces.

I walk into class and take a seat next to a boy with blonde curly hair and blue eyes, he almost reminded me of vance.
"Hey??" The boy said looking up at me, confused.
"Hi" I said, " I'm finney, and you?"
"oh! Uhm,, uhh omg names griffin stagg. But I dont understand" griffin said, sitting up a bit more and straightening his back. "Why'd you sit next to me?? Nobody ever sits back here except for Billy, oh there he is now" the boy said while pointing to a boy with dirty blonde hair and brown eyes.
"Hello?" He said curiously, wow I guess it really was rare for people to talk to them.
"Oh! Youre the paper boy right! Well my names finney" I said giving him a downwards nod.
"Well I'm new here, and you guys don't talk to a lot of people so we should be friends!" I add throwing out the idea randomly. I don't know if I expected them to accept or not, but I wanted them to.
"Sure!" The boys said in unison, giving me both of their phones.
"Here, put your number in and then when you're done we'll put our numbers on yours!" Griffin said, perking up just a bit more as billy made a noise of agreement
